We've gained:

Hopgood
Hands

The following players are now in their thirties:

RCG (31)
Paulo (31)

The following player is now in his mid-20s:

I can almost guarantee kelma won’t be replaced. If woody gets in the team it will be at the expense of hands

If I were the coach and seeing that there has to be some concern in regards to Moses's groin injury, this is the game I would leave Hands on the bench, just in case Moses goes down, especially if it happens early in the game.

Sure Carty would probably step in and play 2nd playmaker to Brown and Gutho will probably do more playmaking too, but having Hands and Lussick available would be my preference.

I would bring in Emu for sure though. The big boy needs more time on the field and experience at NRL level. I really hope he has a relatively injury free season so he can get some momentum in 1st grade and we can all see what he really has to offer at this level. So far it has been to stop/start for him and hard to judge definitively. We really need him to blossom and shine going forward if we want to give it a shake come sept/Nov this year.

Didn't Hands used to play in the halves as a junior.

He can play 5/8 and move Drown to halfback less disruption surely.

If the medical staff said he was fine and no risk of further aggravation , then why? Very different to JAC who had joint injury and his arm was hanging and useless

if we don’t trust our medical team, they shouldn’t be employed

The problem with groin injuries though is they are notoriously deceptive injuries and hard to diagnose correctly. Many think they are ok to go but then it goes again and even gets worse. They don't show up on x-rays or cat scans and often there is nothing to see or indicate that there is still a problem and only when put in the extreme conditions of real game time can they go again.

Lomax at 24 has the potential to be a fullback or centre. Round 1 he’s already shown how good he CAN be. I don’t particularly love him however I don’t subscribe to continuing to wait for another junior. If that kid is good enough he’ll force his way into the side there are plenty of opportunities.
I want a destructive back added so we are big threats in attack and D on both sides.
Sivo consistently gets picked because there has been no other option I’m over it.

From what I have seen from Blaize so far I am not all that overly impressed. Don't get me wrong, I can see the class in him, but I can also see a well under developed kid that still has way to many errors in him and would get totally dominated if he was exposed to regular NRL at the moment. I don't feel even next year all that much will have changed either.

If we can get a genuine elite outside back now, I would do it. Bird in the hand and all that.

I'm more excited of a player like Ethyn Martin to be honest.

Would have been less if they didn’t play origin.
Sure but the fact we finished 10th doesn’t support your claim that they didn’t help us. We missed the finals because our best players missed so many games, including non-Origin players. Origin only accounted for six absences across three games, and we won two of those games because our opponents were also impacted by Origin.

We’ve all seen what he has to offer. He is big and strong and runs the ball very well, but lacks mobility in defence.

He is 18 and has played 3 (?) open age games against men. I don't think regular NRL is on the menu, so unsure who suggested that.

80 mins
19 runs
151 m
41 kick m
66 post contact
2 LBA
2 TA
3 TB
2 off loads
14 passes
35 receipts
2 tackles
1 missed tackle
3 handling errors
(4 errors total)

Well, with Rodwell gone, it sounds like we are keen.

The chat was he was injured, then I saw he suddenly appeared as reserve in Cup on Saturday ? Whilst he has Haze and Lume ahead of him, I reckon he will be on the bench this week and get a run. TCT say he is too old for Flegg now.

Sounds like we might need Jake Arthur on the bench

With Lomax its probably too late now that Flanagan has his feet under the desk properly and he isn't the type of coach that will roll over and let a player a walk so early in his tenure and set a precedent for other players.

Our coaching staff left him as 18th man in NSW CUP while they persist with Dunster and Lumie lubes....
