For the money he is on and for what he delivers even Ben Hunt at the mega deal he has scored offers more. I doubt Dugan will end up anywhere but Newcastle on anywhere near the money he is on now. The fact his manager was talking him up around seven figures is comical.

It's the roles they play that will suggest who plays where.... and Bellamy loves his role players. I think that's where Munster starts. I agree that Croft is the better half but I think he will be brought along slowly either from the bench or Qld Cup.

TBH i think he has gone ok when playing for NSW ... but i do think there are better players

Solid and reliable with next to no ball playing skills doesn't equate to the money he is apparently chasing. Nor rep jerseys...

Problem is when he makes rep teams he plays well just not as a fullback.

Agree he is very good. But not enough in attack to push the big deals.

Was croft in under 20s last season? We had Dargan named halfback of year.
In 9s you get maybe 5 real good attacking chances against 9 players. Wouldnt put to much on a 9s game. Anyone can run hot for 2 days. Thurston was below average also. Along with a heap of other players.

Agreed on the injury prone douchebag, but at most positions on the field, ball skills are the least important quality in a player. If you can take on the defence and either get a bust or a quick play-the-ball you've done your job, without any risk of a turnover.

As for Hunt's deal putting noses out of joint at the Dragons, I wonder if we'll end up with Widdop. Far from the best half in the game but he is reliable, experienced and has a kicking game (including goal kicking). Has also played for Arthur before. Would he cost a fortune? We could get very good value out of him at about $500k. Mitch Moses will probably cost $700k+

Couldn't agree more, in my opinion Wighton is overrated but that's a pretty good summation of him and Dugan

IT WAS A BOIL!!! Those things hurt like hell. Knowing Dugan, I'm sure he was just concerned that if anyone tackled him too hard they'd get buried by a torrent of pus. Very considerate I reckon.

Blake Ferguson says hi. Sam Thaiday not far behind. Also Adam Blair but not sure how many people actually rate him.

I would take Dugan every day of the week over Ferguson.
