TBH i think he has gone ok when playing for NSW ... but i do think there are better players
He's solid and safe, but they won't beat a great QLD side. Only time we have beaten them in a decade was with Hayne at fullback and Cronk breaking his arm.

Agreed on the injury prone douchebag, but at most positions on the field, ball skills are the least important quality in a player. If you can take on the defence and either get a bust or a quick play-the-ball you've done your job, without any risk of a turnover.
How often does he get through the line??? How many tries does he score??? He's a one dimensional Plod who should be in the second row(ME will be happy )

As for Hunt's deal putting noses out of joint at the Dragons, I wonder if we'll end up with Widdop. Far from the best half in the game but he is reliable, experienced and has a kicking game (including goal kicking). Has also played for Arthur before. Would he cost a fortune? We could get very good value out of him at about $500k. Mitch Moses will probably cost $700k+
We could do a hell of a lot worse, his game has gone backwards since Mary arrived.

I wouldn't complain if we ended up with Widdop. As long as we didn't pay big over for him.

I think he would thrive under BA.

Dugan is a bloody good player. Safe at fullback, good defensively and can break a tackle but has as much ball playing skills as Michael Gordon. Is also a fairly decent centre.

It's just that centres or fullback's without ball playing skills are not that highly valued any more.

If he was willing to accept something around $500k, I reckon he would have plenty of NRL clubs interested. But anymore or the $800k or so he wants is just unrealistic for a back that isn't a play maker.

Was croft in under 20s last season? We had Dargan named halfback of year.
In 9s you get maybe 5 real good attacking chances against 9 players. Wouldnt put to much on a 9s game. Anyone can run hot for 2 days. Thurston was below average also. Along with a heap of other players.

Not based just on 9's. Seen him play a couple
of games of QLD Cup.

Problem is his manager was talking seven figure deals before :dragon: grabbed Ben Hunt. He'll be looking at stratospheric deals only now.

Dugan tough? Bloke pulls out of games with an ingrown toenail

Perhaps early in career
At dragons he has played 67 times from a possible 85. And that's not taking into consideration origin.
Would bring it closer to 67/80. Over 3.5 years to miss 13 games is quite reliable?

Interesting stat from 2016:

Gutherson - 8 try assists
Gordon - 4 try assists
De gois - 2 try assists

Dugan - 1 try assist

Think Croft played for Redcliffe in Qld Cup and only signed by Storm last year.
Parra obviously don't have any recruitment officer looking at Qld Cup and other minor comps up here. Otherwise we should have signed Croft and Cameron Cullen before the bidding war for Fogarty. Both superior players imo to the Fog. Also a potential good big prop in Pat Viavia? from Burleigh should have been signed, only just signed with Titans after we signed the Fog. A good project player.
