Tbf though mate he’s only joining next season at worst. Sure the roster is a year older but there’s plenty of footy left in most of them. He could be the breath of fresh air this squad needs, along with one or two more astute signings.

well I should of been a little clearer. It slightly fixes our starting team on paper. But
There’s still issues with our defensive structures, lack of depth, lack of gun juniors coming thru, no notable hooker and most importantly, if he’s coming in 2025 we’ll be well and truly a dads army by then. We’ll have a number of players into their 30’s. What we should be doing is ensuring we have good jnrs ready to step up. For a development club we’ve lacked in this department for years now.

So by the time he comes here, there may be cracks appearing elsewhere.
OK. Sure. But signing him doesn't stop us doing any of those things.

A lack of a crafty/quality hooker is a big issue imo. And the main player I’m concerned about for next year is Gutho. Plays with the heart of a lion, is safe, but just doesn’t have the speed, size or strength of some of the other fullbacks.

I am a bit concerned at the length of the contract. 4 Years?! What happens if we do sack BA and the new coach doesn't want him? Remember his current coach didn't think he was in the top 20 centres last season, and we are paying good money for 4 years! Massive risk IMO.

The way we play (even when we play well) our centres don't actually do much in attack. We need good defensive centres, Is Lomax really a renowned defensive centre?

Well if we had a good rookie centre coming thru that was ready for first grade this year, we wouldn’t need lomax and could spend the $$$ elsewhere. We really need to invest into our pathways and identify the right jnrs.

Matto Dunster Sivo deals with Player Options is terrible.

Personally I think if we're smart and play both Lussick and Hands in the 17, then we can cover any deficiencies in the 9. Neither the Broncos or Panthers have great 9s, but they play with two in the 17.

Yeah but whenever I mentioned PO's on here I get talked down by the protection racket on here that the club did the right thing.

It's embarrassing Moses PO screwed us over last year I don't care what anyone says he was distracted for that 1st month of the season and it cost us a finals spot going 0/3.

Htf does a 18 year old in Blaize have a PO at this stage of his career. He would not have played a FG game when he signed that

It's indefensible.

We hand them out like frigging Tim Tam's.

Some pretty average coaches have won premierships - Hagan, Stuart, Maguire, Green - so luck is obviously a factor. How lucky has Robinson been? Bennett has won nothing in 14 years. Unlucky? Hasler has won two of them but nothing since 2011. Is he a good coach or not? Cleary’s record for the first 13 years of his career was atrocious. Suddenly he goes back to Penrith and he can coach. These inconsistent coaching results show there’s something more important than coaching that determines results.

I think one of the key factors is that each of those coaches had generational talents in their rosters - Hagan had Johns, Stuart had Fittler, Maguire had Inglis, and Green had Thurston.

Short of Jarryd Hayne, we haven't been able to boast a player anywhere near that level for some time.

I’d rather hands over lussick but wouldn’t be concerned if both played. Lussick to play 80 is a worry thou. His crash plays and darts for a try are atrocious tbh
