Now that he has a weaker roster and is losing all his character flaws and weaknesses are slowly coming through.

He can't just sit there like he normally does from up high on his smug winner perch and dribble away like he usually does about this and that and the Roosters way. AH YUCK!!!! It makes me so sick listening to him pontificate all the time like he is some grate orator of life and the roosters are the bees knees of football clubs. I want to throw up! He just doesn't come off genuine to me. Just calculating and manipulating marketing for himself and or the club.
It’s funny how people will say Sticky was gifted a premiership by inheriting a great roster when Robbo did the same thing and has had a stacked roster his entire career.

Sivo makes sense mate. In half decent money I believe and probably easier to replace than most. Yourself?
I would happily let Sivo go tomorrow and is the logical choice but Flanno is a hard nut with a big ego he would have to be seen as winning out of the swap deal to let lomax go this year.

Someone like Junior or Matto might get the deal done but I think the club won't give Junior up out of principle being the club captain.

I wouldn’t give either Junz or Matto early tbh. Would significantly weaken us moving forward.

Not sure, explain it to me
Well it was either them bringing in a coach who had won nothing in his previous 13 years, or it was something else. If it was something else then that’s what we need to focus on, not the coach. And if it was the coach, why had he achieved nothing before that, including at the same club?

Remember I’m not the one adamant that the solution is to sack Brad Arthur. History proves that sacking coaches isn’t the solution to anything. Bennett was brought in to a good team at St George and won a comp. He was also brought in to a few other teams and won nothing. Even Maguire achieved something at Souths that Bennett didn’t.

Bennett was perfect for us at end of 2021 when he finished at souths.

2022 we probably win GF day

We wouldn't turn up asleep for 75 mins.

And heck we wouldn't lose to the Tigers and Bulldogs that season and end up finishing finish top 2 where we wouldn't have to travel to Townsville on prelim weekend where it takes 6 months to recover from when playing in September.

Which 5 minutes did we play?

If it is wasn't the coach why did they sack Griffin.

It's a combination of coaching recruiting developing hence why they have been able to be so successful over the past 4 years with players leaving and injuries.

Or we might’ve missed the finals. Bennett’s done it before. You never know your luck.

They sacked Griffin so they could sign Ivan and in turn re sign Nathan. So some will have you believe.

I reckon that we wont be finalising the contract signing without knowing how much is going on the cap so I dont think it will end up as $850,000 because we probably wont lodge it at that amount.
And if it was on the cap, why not just give it to the player? Most clubs, maybe all of them, can afford to pay more than the cap. That’s what illegal TPAs are.

Which particular problems do you want to fix before the one concerning our 3/4 line?

well I should of been a little clearer. It slightly fixes our starting team on paper. But
There’s still issues with our defensive structures, lack of depth, lack of gun juniors coming thru, no notable hooker and most importantly, if he’s coming in 2025 we’ll be well and truly a dads army by then. We’ll have a number of players into their 30’s. What we should be doing is ensuring we have good jnrs ready to step up. For a development club we’ve lacked in this department for years now.

So by the time he comes here, there may be cracks appearing elsewhere.

Who would you be willing to give up Matty for Lomax now.

Flanagan i reckon won't budge unfortunately.
If you can get Lomax this year, with both Simonsson and Harper also on the books for considerably less, you'd almost pay the Dragons to take Sivo off our hands.

Sivo adds value 10 metres out from the try line in attack, 50% of the time. The other 50% of time I could fall over and score the try...

He provides 3/5ths of 5/8ths of sweet f**k all in attack in all the other 90 metres, and Zero in defence everywhere, as every time he actually gets a hand on someone he gets suspended for 3 weeks..
