I've taken on board what you've said, and I do agree to some extent - Mitch will put in a kick, nobody will chase it through, we will give up 15m, and Mitch cops the blame for an ineffective kick...but it's not solely his fault.
Honestly, the playing roster needs a huge overhaul.
At times it is on Mitch. He has to feel the energy of his team. For example, in the sharks game I think he kicked to Will Kennedy after the ball had been in play for like 4-5 mins without a break.
He kicked it really deep and our chasers couldn't get down there and gave Kennedy a broken line to run against.
He should've kicked it in touch... although a tap, all the sharks players still had to get back onside before the tap so it's a chance to set the defensive line.
Or kick it shorter to give our tiring chasers a chance to at least meet the ball catcher as he catches it.
I feel this is game management, not just to kick it deep or high mechanically but to feel the whole game, how your team's energies are etc.
