I’ve been leaning more towards Cheika. People saying his weakness is lack of experience have overlooked the fact that he’s also not an idiot. He would know that’s his weakness and would scour the comp for the best coaching team he can get.
Sounds expensive

Not enough try assists?

That, but also repeat sets.

If you can't score points, create pressure.

Or, as you said - sometimes the best option is to kick it into touch, and give your team a breather.

I concur that on occasions, Moses puts a kick in, and the chase is garbage, so the kick seems ineffective - when in fact, the kick was fine, but everyone else was asleep.

I do expect big plays on a consistent basis from him, given his inflated salary.

Can't he just interview over Zoom? If he has already interviewed once in person, surely the next interview is just a culture fit/behavioural exercise. Let's pretend covid is still a thing and just get it done remotely. Or is the clubs DSL modem on the blink again?
This. Does anyone do real life here where you have 50 f**king competing priorities at once? If Hannay can’t handle a zoom interview while involved in Origin, how can he “handle to demands of NRL coaching”?

Agreed.

I actually got my current role after one Teams meeting.

Didn't meet my new employer in person before getting hired - they liked my resume, liked my personality, and believed it would be a cultural fit, did my reference checks, and offered me the role.

No reason why he can't be interviewed online.

yup considering that is where our strength is and not chasing the powergame any more as other's are better at it and our backs are not designed for it on top of aging forward pack.

Kelma is showing the way running in between players and lots of leg drive post contact.

Lane was also running between players.

Will uses footwork and doing well. Sivo, Guth and Russell runs straight at the defense and their goal is to surrender or not get pushed back. It's been trained into them for many years and has not unstuck
Yes submit in the tackle, land on your stomach and play the ball as quick as possible. You don't have to play the ball if you don't get tackled FFS

Of course he can. But can you imagine if the vultures found out he zoom interviewed while in QLD camp. They’d rip us to shreds for being disrespectful. It’s not worth it for the sake of a week.

Who wants him?

I'll drive him there myself.

Townsville? You want him?

He is not the style of forward that suits the modern game.
There seems to be a lot of our players on the shit list when we are not winning.

I would suggest that adopting a Chainsaw Dunlap approach to our squad might be foolish. Actually having 30 players in our Top 30 and having decent depth in backs will go a long way towards stopping those tries.

IF moving Jnr on allows us to sign a mid tier prop and a decent back, then I’m all for it. However IIRC we are also seeking to chop Matto and Lane and a bunch of others. Be careful you don’t end up to be the West Tigers here and be continually trying to rebuild.
