I'm not missing the point. I just don't think his previous indiscretions are relevant to this one. I also think that comparing what he did Kirisomi-san is pointless. One was far worse than the other

RVarR got 9 months from the NRL for a first offence domestic violence conviction.

If Edwards gets anything less for an at least third indiscretion I think he can think himself lucky.

It's not like his other indiscretions have commonality though. There was the Kaysa incident and can't even remember the others but I'm pretty sure it had nothing to do with missus. Probably those would add a few weeks, but imo it's probably doubled it. Kennys bigger problem is semi situation imo. No semi case, given it was just pouring a drink over someone and I reckon he gets half of that penalty

Norman was actually unlucky and initially convicted of an offence and then later appealed and the conviction was reversed on appeal. But by that stage he was already given his NRL penalty.

He was also consorting with bad Chinese food. He even recorded it.

Todd Carney is a criminal who should have been banished before he decided to go urban Bear Grylls. Edwards is not. Stop trying to compare Carney to Edwards, it's not even close.

Todd Carney is a criminal who should have been banished before he decided to go urban Bear Grylls. Edwards is not. Stop trying to compare Carney to Edwards, it's not even close.

But you're trying to determine that Edwards punishment should just be related to his last indiscretions only and all his previous indiscretions should be ignored, which is not really realistic.

Kenny Edwards set to receive massive NRL penalty

The Parramatta Eels forward pleaded guilty to common assault in court on Monday for pouring water on his former partner in December.

He avoided a conviction but has been suspended indefinitely by Parramatta.

He is now faced with the possibility of a ban for up to half the 2017 season along with a massive fine.

The ban could extend to 14 weeks, leaving the 27-year-old searching for other opportunities.

Edwards has played 43 NRL games for the Eels since debuting in 2013 following a rocky start to his career at multiple clubs.

14 weeks! Edwards must've been on his very last warning, and there must've been stuff that we didn't know about in recent years.

Probably. He's not a vital cog, even just for this year. But the club may or may not base their decision on that. They may choose to 'do the right thing' and, given the unclear nature of this incident - to us at least - who knows?

I'd be disappointed if the club based its punishment on how expendable Edwards is.
