And also how he was told not to hang around Haysons yet has been spotted a few times since told not to. Also how the NRL is trying to do all can to get him back in game.

Funny they made out Parra fans would be upset. I think once the full 1.2 mill counted to cap along with dodgie hammy and now shoulder plus his fragile mental health the club . Along with Normans form the club would of been happy he walked.

I for one couldn't care less about Foran not being here.

Agree ... not bothered about him at all ... glad he f**ked off elsewhere .... which is a shame cos in the past i always thought he'd be just the type of player we need

Call me spiteful, but I'd be keen to have the prick suspended from the competition for a while, if only for the way he treated our club (although I'm obviously aware that wouldn't be the reason for the suspension).

I'm happy to pay a guy big $$ if he is a junior or worked his way up at the club like Manu and Norman.
Track record of big names recently -
Sandow-Lussick-Hoppa-Foran-Watmough.

Penrith have rewarded Tamou and Merrin but its a strange salary cap they have where able to do it and not lose all those juniors. I guess bar Moylan there spine would be cheap.

Not how id run a club thou. Our squad is perfect how its built. Guys on decent $$ have earned it at OUR club.

Id be happy to pay a little overs for promising juniors and build them as your own. Or for decent prospects like we did with Norman and Peats.
Going hard for guys like Foran/Sandow hardly ever works.

To be fair to Ricky. He blamed the board and well he was kind of right? I'm sure most coaches know of a few shady deals and perhaps Ricky knew these guys where hopeless.

I heard something interesting yesterday. Was talking to someone at the club and they mentioned we had "heaps of room in the cap for 2017".

I said " yeah we probably got about $700k which is great".

Response "a lot more than that".

So don't believe everything you read about player salaries.

Or better yet, keep it until we know the result of the CBA and can plan our 2018 and 2019 rosters with some re-contracting of existing players and some front loading this year.

I made a brilliant speculative thread about this last year based on the fact we were being forced to axe half year values of full year salaries - effectively creating double the full year cap room ($1mill +). Then Foran walked (another $1mill +).
Given other movement I wouldn't in the least be surprised if we were just over $1mill in cap space for this year.

In what sense was it suggested that he 'did the dirty on BA'? Serious question, not a wind up. I realise that if he'd pulled the plug earlier we wouldn't have cut Peats mid-season. But otherwise him shooting through hasn't done us much harm....he was injured or otherwise unavailable for most of the season anyway.

It was written somewhere BA supported him alot, but then foran started skipping rehab n shit and BA got frustrated and told him off .... true or not, who knows???

Titans break may be over for Peats

Could Nathan Peats be making his way back to Parramatta?

Peats was the sacrificial lamb when the Eels needed to squeeze a player out during last season's salary cap debacle, but a comeback to the blue and golds could be on the cards. The Titans hooker is off contract at the end of the year and we hear he and his management are open to an Eels return.

It appeared that bridge had been burnt when Peats' father, former NRL player Geordi, unloaded on the "five f---wits on the board who can't add up" during the salary cap crisis.

The Titans fear Peats could return to the Eels, but remain in the box seat for his signature.
