Exactly, meaning we are still paying him.Unless you can source something that officially announces Guthos release from his 2025 contract, I don't think you are correct in this instance.

You say this all the time, yet keep going back for more…..surely if people paid no attention this fwt, things would be better, I know he’ll never piss off, as he has a few minions, but u really make it so much worse along with others, just stop ?Unfortunately I was the one who allowed myself to be drawn into the pointless revolving door this time - will try to be more disciplined!
fair enough. You say this all the time, yet keep going back for more…..surely if people paid no attention this fwt, things would be better, I know he’ll never piss off, as he has a few minions, but u really make it so much worse along with others, just stop ?
Or we moved RCG on because we have enough middles (with Lane moving to the middle and the recruitment of Williams), and we are better served using RCG’s money elsewhere in the roster.Appears we have some decent juniors coming thru but they'll need experience and we've already lost one good prop (RCG) with Paulo only having 1-2 seasons left in him. So we need a quality middle to cover those losses and May is it. Our squad needs a mixture of experienced and emerging players to be competitive and quality players are in short supply.
Has there been anything official about Gutherson’s release? He has already been released. We're paying him NOTHING regardless of his current situation.
Yep. Dragons are being smart, the longer it drags on the more we pay (because he’s now under his 2025 contract) and the less they have to payExactly, meaning we are still paying him.
If anything, just because we needed a fullback and Talagi isn’t oneIt will be interesting, but over the course of both of these contracts I’m confident we’ve made the right call.
Just focus on discussing footy instead of your personal opinion about me and how I post. I get it, mean girls build friendships by ganging up on the merkins they don’t like, but we are grown men ffs. We are here to discuss footy, not each other.Unfortunately I was the one who allowed myself to be drawn into the pointless revolving door this time - will try to be more disciplined!

Realistically next week we should be telling Gutho next week are you accepting the Dragons or staying because we need to move forward.Yep. Dragons are being smart, the longer it drags on the more we pay (because he’s now under contract) and the less they have to pay

If only real-world contracts worked like that.Realistically next week we should be telling Gutho next week are you accepting the Dragons or staying because we need to move forward.
You requested a release here is the release you and Ayoub sort your own shit out with the Dragons for 2025 and beyond.
With the number of players cut from the roster and limited signings, still seems strange that the club is waiting for Gutho to move on, not sure the cap has been handled that well previously. If only real-world contracts worked like that.
Well, do we actually know for sure he requested a release. Isn't that just speculation too?Realistically next week we should be telling Gutho next week are you accepting the Dragons or staying because we need to move forward.

Well clearly yes its more complicated then that.If only real-world contracts worked like that.
There is a reason why Melbourne let these blokes like Smith & Addo-Carr go.Seems like Brandon Smith won't be offered another contract at the Roosters. Might be worthwhile trying to see if the Roosters will let him go early if we free up Gutho's money.
Seems to be a bit of a wildcard with his attitude and off field behaviour isn't the greatest, but would form a good combo with Hands and the young 9's we bring through. Can start at 9 and then move to 13 later in games.
No, but its also not signing a proven crock and woefully staffing the hooker position in an attempt to leave a pathway there for players of "potential"...I have been told by many people, including agents, that for at least two years they had been told not to bother with offering hookers to Parramatta.
You have to ask yourself why that is? Because we were so wonderfully stocked in that area?
Either our coach deliberately wanted to leave a pathway for his son, or he and the club had no clue or ability to ensure that position was properly staffed in the past two years....either way, it was a big failure.
It is this culture that we hopefully have left behind, to the chagrin of only you.

Matt Arthur does have massive potential. Look how good he was in reserve grade this year, despite still being eligible for SG Ball.
If you think he just wanted to create pathways for his children, why did he extend both Moses and Drown? Why didn’t he give Matt Arthur his NRL debut?
