Rumours and Stuff

These things have a way of working out. Look at what the Sharks did. They recruited Barba after knowing they had 2 other fullbacks in Bird and Holmes. What happened? They all got a spot and they won the comp. French at his age can be eased at fullback. Look what has happened to Lattrell Mitchell at the Roosters. If we can get Hayne back for under $1m we take him.

I've always been a forgiving type but I have to scream at you first. It's the Balkan way.

You really are MAD.

At some point a person must make a decision. And move forward. At that point you wont look back. Only the cowards and desperate turn around. We have moved on from Hayne and with 2 genuine play makers his skills will be less needed. It would just take away from Norman and Moses chances of attacking.
Penrith is a good example of to many cooks.

Haynes currently on 1.2m ... i could see him taking maybe a 100-200k cut ... no way can i imagine he would go for 850k

I don't think it matters much either way. All the other games are on Fri and Saturday, so if they are going to have this early announcement of the 20-man squad thing, it makes sense to still do it on Tuesday. The fact that there are 2 other games on Sunday doesn't affect the teams playing Fri/Sat. I reckon picking a squad 3 days before a game is fair enough.

So what would be the harm in having all teams announce tomorrow for this particular round only?

Given that half of the teams can't be picked until tomorrow, why not just make it clean and say everyone picks tomorrow?

Of course the teams who play Fri/ Sat COULD name their squads today - but in reality they COULD name them on Mondays, or even Sundays on any given week. But they don't, everyone names together on a Tuesday. What is the harm of having one particular round where all teams get named on the Weds? How does it benefit anyone to have 2 games as 'TBA'?

The positive out of it all is that the NRL have scheduled well and had the 4 teams involved play in that same 'pool' next weekend anyway. But still?

Hayne for 800-850 bring him home. No more than that but if we can get him back without blowing our cap and unbalancing the side then it's a no brainer.

IMO loosing Semi next season we are going to be short a big body at the back. Hayne brings that + a truckload of other skills.

French to the wing or 14 for a few more years won't hurt his development. Or one a little from left field Hayne to 6 and Moses to 9.

When a person has a strong opinionated view towards something yet that opinion get flipped in a 180 direction constantly. This person could only have

D - LOW IQ
O - No control of emotions
P - Desperate
E- All of the above

The only other logical answer is small penis syndrome.

Not that I'd want him back, but it would be in his best interest to take a paycut and return. Even at 750k, surely his sales of his merchandise would go into overdrive with deluded eels Fans.

What does it matter? What problem are you trying to fix?

So......some teams announce their lineups on Tuesday. And those affected by the mid-week game announce them on Thursday. No team is advantaged or disadvantaged by this. It's a 20 man squad. I don't get what the problem is either way. I wouldn't care if they all announced squads on Wednesday, I just don't see the problem with the current situation.

We also need to factor in if semi wants to return in 2019. If we sign Hayne, we may jeopardise semis possible return.

The problem is he wouldn't get a cut of eels jerseys and surely the Hayne label gear is no longer.

So was that Hayne's management that leaked that EOI to the SMH to try and put pressure on the eels ?

He must really be desperate to return home.
