There was a bit of show pony about Pricey too. He'd be "knocked out" then after the magic sponge and help from two merkins pulling him up by the collar, he'd be back into it 30 seconds later.

Not saying he was never concussed (see him these days FFS) but I'm just saying that he'd be wobbly at the knees almost every match. Yeah nah.

Did anyone watch Ray Price last night on League Legends??

In one interview he accused two referees of being crooked (Hartley and Cook) and said he was responsible for Wally and Turvey being overlooked for selection on 82 roos tour. Ha.

Also, admitted when he played Sterlo in City Country he took it easy on him so he would not get hurt.

He is one of a kind Pricey for sure.

Yep, he sure is, but I always admired his skills and dedication to Parra and any other team he was playing for. I remember a day at Cumberland in (I think 1980). He came to the sideline with a dislocated finger and he motioned to the trainer to 'pop it straight again', which he did. Price winced, then did a 180 and ran straight back into the thick of it. I have never dislocated anything in my life but I'm sure it's not a pleasant experience. The only thing he did that got me was that praying mantis rebound stance he had when the opposition team were kicking for a penalty goal. I don't think he ever got one come his way.

Never really understood the whole leaning to the side awkwardly during opp goal kicks.

I used to think he was geniused like those wrestlers that yell at each other on Ch9 wrestling.

My vague memories of him are of a bloke who got hurt three or four times every game, and while the ball was in play he was running flat out the entire time. During breaks in play he limped around like a cripple.
