You dont replace a coach for the sake of change. It may be that 6 new players and a bit of luck with injuries may be all we need.

The roster is fine. It can always be improved and renewed, and it will be. There's a reason we have so many forwards still off contract in May. Only Alvaro and Brown were re-signed.

In every case it is temporary. Newcastle won three straight wooden spoons, two of them under Nathan Brown. Now he's been able to turn the roster over and they are competitive, does that mean he suddenly knows how to coach?

Our roster is not fine, if it was we'd be going much better. We need a good cleanout and adopt the Roosters formula imo, good top 17 and fill the squad out with juniors and journeymen.

No Brown knew what he wanted for this year. He already had a reasonably decent squad but was missing experience and leadership so bought that in plus the X factor in Ponga. Got this kid for an absoluter bargain.

Lodge had been solid but hardly dominant.

Not really what we need, Pangai Jr, Sua and Joe Ohenwhatever his name is have been the ones who have given them the grunt in some of their wins.

We would of let them all go only to sign them 10 years later on massive overs.

Assuming we keep winning f**k all games, whether we come last or not depends on how other clubs go as well. Why should they determine what we do with our coach?

In case you don’t understand what I’m saying, why is winning eight games (for example) and running last worse than winning six games (for example) and running 14th or 15th?

Do you think that BA insisted that he take the roll of FM or it was forced upon him ? Do you think that he elected not to replace Gentle immediately after he left as well ?

They should be doing all they can to be getting Brian Smith as or head of football. Just makes sure he isn’t allowed to talk to the first grade team before games.

Come back from a 2-8 start to the year. At least history is on the club's side because that team was the 2006 Eels.

But Smithy was smart enough to walk, first.

I would like us to go for both Matt Lodge and Tevita Pangai Jr. I wouldn't be going for Oats. He is an untested backrower in the NRL. Why would we pay top dollar that has a dream as opposed to a tried and tested and proven NRL quality backrower?

What if he fails to achieve his dream and is plum ordinary as a backrower? Then we are stuck with a player that we are paying top dollar to play wing where he may not be to happy doing so. He is a gamble. I have had enough of those types of top money gambles.

Bernie said Ba has never not had what he wanted when it comes to staff.

He's been a forward most of his junior career, they did a T-Rex with him when he came into grade and it's been a huge success but I can't blame him for wanting to play his "natural" position

Time and time again he has continually stated he wants to be an edge backrower, even after his MOTM effort on the wing against Souths he brought it up.

If he goes anywhere it will be becsuse they have offered him a spot in the back row.

These and other questions I cant answer. Im just stressing their need. Maybe BA said give me the money and ill do the lot. Who knows. I do know it aint workin though.
