So, looks like Cronulla are going to be the beneficiaries of the Dogs plight, and pick up Sharron Woods, for something like half price over the length of his 4 year contract. Now if that isn't a steal of a deal, then I don't know what is.

While we apparently should have money to burn and tons of players off contract, still miss out again. When/if we do sign someone in anyway near that type of quality, will have to pay through the eye teeth for.

No one was coming to the tigers untill the cancers were cut out of the place and competence was back in charge instead of reckless management and rogue players. Tigers didnt need a reno...they needed a total knockdown and rebuild of personel and club culture. ..nothing was moving forward untill that happened. ..if you dont think the eels need the same then talking about players...positions and coaches is just shufling the deckchairs on the titanic. I'd bet Tim Sheens ( in a Gould style role ) could get it done ....

Well bringing juniors into first grade takes time. Our SG Ball won last year for the first time in a decade and the NYC (full of 18 year olds) made the grand final. Now we have a few Flegg players in reserve grade. We can’t just chuck all these blokes into first the NRL. They need to spend time together in the lower grades.
