I sometimes think of quitting the NRL. It's literally becoming like the La Liga in Spain with 2 teams.

Not only do Storm and Roosters manipulate the game on the field, they have now started manipulating the game off the field. Their friends in the media protect them and their agendas. It's getting ridiculous.

I am just waiting for them to manipulate the head high sin bin rule. Teddy has already mastered the art of falling onto player's biceps and the Storm will follow suit.
wait till the storm players get used to carrying the ball on their shoulders

Was the Brown decision a knee-jerk reaction ? :)
The penalty probably not but the media outcry certainly was. The ex-player commentators were too. Not one of them looked closely at the videos of from all angles. It is clear that Huthison's right arm came in contact with Brown's right leg before he fell down. Brown was positioned poorly and deserves a stint in the grandstand but in no way did he intentionally lead with his knees.

They've listened to the fans complaining about Tedesco dropping into high contact and so now when there's a high tackle they're going to send both players off.

What about the dominance of Penrith and Parramatta's slow but steady rise? We had a good crack at swinging our dicks last week and got what we wanted. Realistically, if protecting the Roosters was the default position of the NRL, then Marata and Brown would have been hit with a big stick during the game. As it was, the failure do do that probably got us the 2 points.

And do you really think Teddy wants to cop a high shot every week so he can watch the game on TV with Friend and Cordner?
Unfortunately his crouching running style leads to unavoidable head high tackles. Last week was farcical, Burr had to drop to his knees to avoid any sort of head high contact. There needs to be a bit more grey rather than just black and white in their interpretations. Follow Robinson's suggestion regarding grading of head highs, he is a very deep thinker of all things RL.

Robbos head high gradings:
No grading - Minimal impact, careless contact - penalty
Grade 1 - Minimal impact, direct contact - on report
Grade 2 - Forceful impact, careless contact - sin bin
Grade 3 - Forceful impact, direct contact - sent off
Grade 4 - Finger tip grazes Rorters player above the armpits - match forfeited in favour of Rorters

On Reece Walsh, the footballer with the girl eyes. How good is this kid? My God!

What he did last night, wow, what a player. Does he remind anyone else of Lockyer? Not Lockyer's gliding speed when he was young, but his footballing brain and passing to size up a situation and the way he can deliver the pass equally as good on either side of the park. This kid will eventually be a 5/8th just like Lockyer too.

And the footwork, just wow!

What the hell Broncos? Whoever made the decision to let him go should be fired immediately. How could anyone not see this kids over the top talent? They should not be employed by the game. If I were a Broncos fan I would be demanding heads to roll. Add not wanting Walker and the Broncos are a basket case and total laughing stock.

So glad that those days for now at least are over from our perspective. But the Broncos, I can't believe that they didn't see the value in the two most gifted teenage play makers I have seen come through in maybe decades.

I can't stop shaking my head at the total dumb blindness of their retention committee. So glad that it is not us.

Agree, he’s the pick of the bunch. He’s Benji 2.0.

What’s the story behind it all though? What was their reason?
In hindsight it seems like complete stupidity ‘letting him go’ but maybe he wasn’t showing much at the time.
Why is he playing for the Warriors? Did he just want to go and live in New Zealand, or did no other club think he was worthwhile signing either and the Warriors gave him a shot?
