Rumours and Stuff

I'd say getting within two points of the Storm (2017) and putting 50 on the Broncos (2019) were both upsets. They just weren't the type of upset that turns a loss into a win. But they were the same degree of luck on the day to create an unexpected result. That's all an upset is. We got within two points of Penrith last start. That means with more luck we could've beaten them. Maybe next year we will. No game is a foregone conclusion.
Yes luck, and good refereeing, on the latter we've been on the wrong end of the stick in 2017 and this year, may have meant a different result.

Ok, people not posting in anticipation!

Adam reports that he is doing very well and training hard at Canberra.

He is hoping to find good influences there socially.

He is very impressed with Ricky Stuart as a coach and as a person. I would agree with that. He’s come along leaps and bounds in recent years. Becoming a statesman in the game.

Some of the boys are not over-enthused with young Starling being in trouble mostly due to team impact.

His true friends are hopeful that Adam will succeed and make the most of this opportunity.

So far so good.

I am sure we all speak as one in wishing him the best. There is a lot of family and friends behind him as he addresses his challenges.

Adam has done a lot of work for the disabled and has a proud indigenous heritage.

He is also going out with that pretty prop. Half his luck.

I know his your mate and all, but has your girlfriend ever sent you to bed while Adam was visiting by chance?

No he’s not my direct mate, he’s an indirect mate I’ve actually never met.

Thats what makes my account of his progress reliable and trustworthy!

I thought his tender and kind words for Sticky was quite moving.

Certainly I can understand some of the players regretting the conduct of young Tom, but note how the view is expressed per the consequences of same and devoid of any personal criticism.

Perhaps that is because of the general penchant of many NRL players to subscribe to the “ don’t you know who I am?” lifestyle.

The squid comes to mind, falling over, blathering on incoherently, trying to get his leg over the hot dog stand and making an untimely remark about Sid James of carry-on fame. A great actor, much better than nrl players.

So what you are saying is that your girlfriend has met him?

I don't have time to read the last 15 pages, but is Reed a plodder and expendable yet ?
Have Parra done the noble thing and not paid overs like dem other fools ?
And have you found 3 or 4 more Reeds in your juniors yet ?

Does anyone else think that winning a premiership is possibly going to be a bit like getting a piece of crumpet?
The thrill of the chase turns out to be better than the actual crumpet?
I'd check the use by date on Parra's crumpet mate.
