There's nothing to dodge. That bit's just common sense - not an amazing prediction by Gould! But the effect of one hot game in Townsville doesn't mean you can automatically dismiss (like you seem to be attempting) the effects of not spreading the playing minutes more evenly among the starting and bench forwards for the preceeding say ten weeks.

I'll take your word for it... but that's the point isn't it? A repeated strategy is fine - until it's not (or not going to be). The trick is to be one step ahead of realisation, not one step behind repeating yourself forever with your head in the sand.

Well yes, being one step ahead is what we have sports science for. You don't know what data the club uses but they certainly do.
