Bit of an odd post but I asked AI to write a story about the Eels this year and this is what is served up!

The year was 2023, and the Parramatta Eels were determined to bring the NRL Grand Final trophy home to their beloved fans.

The season had been a rollercoaster ride for the Eels, with moments of both triumph and defeat. But they remained focused and united as a team, determined to make it to the Grand Final.

As the final round of the regular season came to a close, the Eels secured their spot in the top 8 and earned a chance to compete in the finals. The team was ecstatic and their fans were on the edge of their seats with anticipation.

The Eels battled their way through the finals, facing off against tough opponents and coming out victorious in each match. They had made it to the Grand Final, and their opponents were none other than their long-time rivals, the Sydney Roosters.

The Grand Final was a tense and exciting match, with both teams giving it their all. The Eels were led by their captain, Clint Gutherson, who had a standout performance and score a crucial try in the dying minutes of the game. The Eels defense was also strong, shutting down the Roosters attack and preventing them from scoring.

As the final whistle blew, the Eels had emerged victorious with a score of 20-10. The crowd at the stadium erupted in cheers as the team lifted the NRL Grand Final trophy.

The players and fans celebrated together, with tears of joy streaming down their faces. It had been a long time coming, but the Parramatta Eels had finally brought the trophy home.

The end.
