TBH, Staines was really good for us before getting injured. I'd have him ahead of Noffa.

Totally agree mate. He really surprised me in fact at how much improvement he showed. I always saw him as a soft co*k and rated him as the Pennies weakest players and kind of their kryptonite player. He was very collision shy mostly, hence his yoyo NRL appearances, but he did improve at the Pennies enough toward the end there for Cleary to have enough faith in him to be in the GF team and Cleary said as much too.

But at the Tigers he went even better and found a lot more consistency. He started to man up, that was the most pleasing aspect of his improvement. He wasn't shying away from the collision or avoiding the dirty work. His speed will ensure that he will be successful after that. If he kept/keeps improving he will turn out to be a very good NRL player with a lot of toe.

The issue is with such a rare and serious injury, what will he be like when he returns, including his mental state? There aren't all that many examples of other players with the same type of injury to judge by. But if we sign him on his potential and he picks up where he left off, he would be a great addition to our club for the presumed bargain price he would be taking at this time in his career.

The Tigers are in the process of resigning him. I am hopeful that he isnt going anywhere. Noffa is available however ;-)

The thing I don't really get about Raiders and Panthers interest in Sanders is that he is, by all reports, a genuine organising 7 with a good kicking game. Both those clubs will/may be needing a ball running 6 as they both have their playmaker/general play kicker. I could understand if they said the dogs were interested, but not those 2 teams

Maybe they'll shift nathan to the centres

Panfers just want a backup for the next few seasons which he would be perfect for them

Raiders have a halfback? Current one is replaceable

We also want a backup for the next few years

Never said Fogarty wasn't replaceable, just that they are talking about him as a replacement to Jack, not Jamal

Apparently Pennys want to sign him as well.

He's only 18 and can be the guy at the Eels at age 22, but he will probably take an Alan Bond pay day from a shit club. That's what happens these days. Nathan Brown pretty much said as much not too long ago.

Hence the importance of having an OK backup half in cup tredding water like Jake. But that was just to complex for the jerks to deal with.
Sanders is twice the player Jake Arthur is. Don’t let the truth get in the way of your agenda.

Media - “Parra players disgraced the blue and gold jersey”
Most Eels fans - “Hey media, how about you take your f**ken clickbait shit of a story, roll it up, shove it firmly up your asshole, slop down some prune juice and perhaps your faecal spray will get you closer to a Walkley than your usual f**ken dribble.”
Most other NRL fans - “Hey media, did Paul Kent disgrace the journo jersey?”
