Arthur for sure is a massive loss, especially as he was already on the books for future years. Talagi didn’t really have a path if he didn’t want to play fullback. I thought he was a poor fit for us going forward unless we could turn him into a fullback. It could probably be done, since he already has the goods in attack, but how many defensive howlers would we need to put up with before he provided NRL level safety at the back? The likelihood of players performing better and to pay scale is highly unlikely and the likelihood of us having to replace them in 2026 even as far back as 2022 was high means I guess you’re correct and we’re all in on the “we’ll just buy more players” to replace them angle.
This is despite the fact most successful teams have a core of club developed players. There is zero development plan here. We had our strongest junior team in a long time and probably the 3 most influential players from there will be gone for a variety of reasons. At least Sanders leaving makes sense, he wasn’t going to be in front of Moses/Brown easily. But Talagi & Mrthur had clear paths to NRL.
That's not the point I was making. I was responding to an assertion that our defense had been horrid for most of BA's tenure. I was just presenting evidence that while it was far from competition leading, it was 'average' on average. Not horrid, in the main (thoug a couple of years were pretty bad).
As I said in the post, our lack of innovation in attack would be my larger criticism of the BA years. And that affects your defense, because it affects the circumstances and position in which your opponents get the ball.
Well if Moses leads Parra to a Wooden Spoon, he is the one to go.Hard to drop Luai after this series. If his form maintains at the Tigers he'll be in the side
why wait just rsole him NOWMy tip is the Glacier will be gone in 2025.
It will only take 1 or 2 disagreements for Ryles to go to the board and say this relationship isn't working.
And we will get a new HOF.
The board will be balls deep into Ryles moving forward because the decision to appoint him will define there tenures and the next 10 years.
MON will be expendable
If Talagi wanted to play '6' then his path was blocked just like Sanders.
His future is in centres. Or was. Moot point now.Arthur for sure is a massive loss, especially as he was already on the books for future years. I would but this club is always 12 months behind the curve.why wait just rsole him NOW
Leadership is non-existent. Call him a dirty player, call him whatever you like, but JWH for example is a forward leader, something we have missed dearly for years nowI reckon they just took it easy over the off season. Morale would be pretty low as well. At full time of round three it was looking good. Then we lost Moses, threw away the Tigers win, and then just capitulated for several weeks. It doesn’t say much about our leadership group.
One of the three has a winning record in Origin. Can you guess which?Well if Moses leads Parra to a Wooden Spoon, he is the one to go.
Grubs are only grubs when they aren't your grub.Leadership is non-existent. Call him a dirty player, call him whatever you like, but JWH for example is a forward leader, something we have missed dearly for years now
Pou honestly can you post less often. Just put it all in one post literally every 2nd post is yours the last 10 pages it’s annoying mate.
Moses has barely played this year. Our position on the ladder this year will have no impact on whether he plays SOO next yearWell if Moses leads Parra to a Wooden Spoon, he is the one to go.
The first Scum game when they were going nowhere then Katoa steamrolled Makatoa and Scum scored shortly after to essentially end the game, commentators asked who in our team was the was going to stand up like Katoa did… 09 Fui would’ve been the last one I think who would’ve tried toLeadership is non-existent.
