Spoke to someone that was on the ground (not from the crowd) at our last game. An opposition player called us a clueless basket case and a rabble.

Reckons we will come last and not win another game.

Gee it would be nice to have 13 rep players we can pick from.

I think we will beat the Dragons at home anyhow our form isn't that bad.

Maybe that opposition player should have asked our clueless rabble how to beat Penrith what is the last 10 times the chooks have played them they have been smashed.

Penrith had to go into overdrive in the last 5 mins to pluck it out of there arses.

And its the same record against the Storm since 2019 for the chooks

He could be correct, but when you have the luxury of TPAs, Nein media jobs , and random golf games it’s obviously easier to build and retain a side with close to 17 intl and rep players. Somehow the Roosters with their attitude have overtaken the Storm as the most unlikeable club, at least the Storm train their players up and don’t just sign them with an undefined cap from U 16s to seniors. Their criticism is typical of a club that had no structure until the City Ford group left as primary sponsor and they found support elsewhere

A new coach might work wonders with Matto. He is the new prototype middle if coach can get his attitude right to perform consistently.

I agree. Penisini is a massive talent, but all centres look garbage behind a beaten pack.

If Ryles turns Penisini into an rep quality centre that will be the biggest indication about the quality of coaching he has been getting from a young age and an indictment on the regime we have had for a fair while.

Dylan Brown will be another one.

There the two with the biggest watch for mine under Ryles.

And see what level they genuinely have. Do they actually have it and was it coaching holding them back or are just overrated.

As they are probably the only two that have come through the grades from Harold matt's and become regular first graders in the Arthur Era. That haven't come from other systems and you can truly judge the difference between BA and Ryles and what they produce.

They have regressed badly in Penisini's case or gone backwards slighty in Drowns case that Asi is playing 7.

I’ve said it before about Penisini he just needs to play smarter, he makes a lot of dumb little mistakes that look to me like he’s already thinking of what he’s going to do after he has the ball rather than actually just getting the ball first. f**ker is strong though for someone who is three foot tall, the potential is definitely still there for him to be a good player. I think it’s easy to forget he’s still only 22 when he will have clocked 80 first grade games by the end of the year.
