Rumours and Stuff

Yes they are all the same.
Actually I have no opinion on him either way but it says "Rumours and Stuff" on top of the thread.
I wasn’t having a go, it’s a development worth mentioning. My comment about Momoisea says nothing, of course, about what this guy would be like. Though I’ll confess to being a bit reserved about a guy well into his 20s with no first grade experience.

I don't know much about him. The (sort of) interesting part is that this story was around a few weeks back but now RCG has been released multiple sites have republished the story over the last couple of days as if was a new story. I guess we are going to be linked to every off contract middle over the off season.

Cooper Jenkins. Huge merkin who runs fast, was a standout prop in qld cup and several clubs are making enquiries with his manager, including the Eels.

“I have spoken to Parramatta and the Dragons about him. Cooper has had four or five offers to do affiliate programs, 16 weeks with an NRL club, but I think he's good enough for a full-time contract.

“Cooper is a fast middle with a great attitude ... I would be surprised if he doesn't play NRL regularly next year.” Gavin Orr, Manager.
He might have a chance of making it, but his QLD form isn't exactly that great for an experienced 23 year old....doesn't even average 100 m a game....not great

Not very impressive. So why are we being linked to him? Manager shenanigans?

Brock Parker averages slightly less metres and is slightly better defensively, both in work-rate and effectiveness whilst being a year younger.

If we're looking at someone who is going to be 3-5 on the middle depth picks I'd rather us stick with Parker who we know the attitude of and is slightly better defensively.

are there any jouros that aren't hacks ?

serious question
They all fall somewhere on the hack spectrum, in between Extreme hack Hooper/Ritchie et al and down to Mild hack ( personally I don’t mind Carryanis). Then there’s the new lot who are not newspapers/ broadcast based like RL Guru, Bloke etc who are biased in their own way but not malicious like some of newspaper dimwits. IMO.

I'm rewatching the 2022 GF, and I can't believe that we continued to watch Penrith consistently be offside and get away with it, and didn't think to do the same.
I didnt rewatch the 2022 GF but I believe that the reason Penriff get away with it is because their line speed is so unbelievably fast.
There are many times they look like they are offside but they werent, you just think they must have been to get there so quick. Then of course there are many times that they were offside but because of the speed of their defensive line, IMO the ref & touchies arent as confident in calling it because they arent sure.

If Parra (or worse still Tigers) try it, because we dont have that superhuman line speed, we wouldnt get away with it.

I can understand what you are trying to say, but on TV the defensive line usually isn't shown on the zoomed in shot when they are 10 metres back. Penrith were consistently well in the frame before the play the ball.
