He was a promising junior two years ago. Nobody expected the entire team to shit the bed this year. I doubt he’s on $700k but $600k wouldn’t surprise me. He extended when he was 20 years old and one of our best in a grand final year.

Anyway, Suitman correctly points out that none of us know what he’s on so it’s not worth discussing. We should all just shut the f**k up and only talk about stuff we can agree on, like food and holidays.

We all know why. We had a young dummy half coming through that's pathway would have been blocked by Reed staying.

The coach didn't want him here.

Anyway I don't think Reed was worth 650k-700k anyway. All he has is niggle and a above average kicking game.

The issue wasn't Reed leaving it was who we replaced him with since and the depth in that position

Honestly, our salary cap still feels way out of balance. I get that these figures are a bit inflated, but now Gutherson seems like a bargain at $875k for 2025.
