In fairness, he has been. With the only real blemish being contract negotiations played out in public.
I wonder how much those painful negotiations are a byproduct of his competitiveness. It’s an unfortunate fact that professionalism, and especially under a salary cap, pits the players against the club. This is why I tend to hate the merkins. They can all f**k off.

Love Mitch but I don't think he is underpaid - in fact, I would venture that a comparable replacement would probably cost less than Mitch as, by Isaac Moses economics, Mitch will always be paid at the top of his bracket.....the trick is finding someone comparable to Mitch - thats the real problem
If anything is on slightly overs

Will Api get the standard Leichhardt Farewell drinking a few cans all alone on the scoreboard in a collared shirt & tie after being left out of the final home game.

How did Parra commemorate King Guffo's last home game for Parra? I guarantee Apis last game for the Tigers wont be like that.

To replace Moses with someone as comparable I suspect would cost us considerably more than we'll pay Moses.
Lets hope Moses gets through Sunday's game still.

I just heard Cameron Murray is out of the first 10 rounds for Souths due to the wrist injury he suffered for the Kangaroos.

I would be pretty pissed if that happened to Moses especially after getting injured in Origin 3 this year.

Im sure Parra members wish him all the best. I guarantee we treat Api better than Guffo has been treated.
We do. And if another club comes along next year and wants to give Api a contract that's 2 years too long and 100s of thousands of dollars too big, I'm sure the Tigers will do the right thing and let him leave.

Is Api already a Tigers Legend that deserves to be treated well by the tigers,

He has been there 2 x years

Lost his origin spot which shows his form wasn't the same as it was at Penrith & won 2 x spoons in 2 years.

Didn't he take the piss out of the Tigers before he got there by saying he wont win another premiership after the 2022 GF.

How many times did he get sent to the bin this year and got himself suspended this year.

For me he has underperformed for your mob since his arrival.

Gone - Officially.

Dear Members,

The Parramatta Eels have reached an agreement for Clint Gutherson to be released from the final year of his contract, allowing him to pursue other opportunities.

The decision to reach this agreement was made in acknowledgement of Clint's contributions since joining the Eels in 2016 and out of respect for his desire to secure his long-term future in the NRL.

After discussions with Clint and his management, it became clear that this was the best path forward for both parties. Gutherson has played over 200 NRL games and been a cornerstone of the Eels, showcasing exceptional toughness, reliability, and leadership. His commitment to the team has made him a popular figure among the Club’s supporters.

Parramatta Eels Head Coach Jason Ryles said, "We would have liked Clint to be part of our squad in 2025, but we respect his desire to explore new opportunities and believe it’s important to support him in what he feels is best for his career. Clint will always be a valued part of our Club, and we know he’ll succeed wherever he goes."

Clint Gutherson reflected on his time with the Eels, saying, “It’s been an absolute privilege to wear the blue and gold. The support from the fans over the last nine years has been overwhelming, and I’m truly grateful for the opportunities the Club has given me to grow as a player and a person. I will always cherish my time at the Eels and the relationships I’ve built along the way.”

General Manager of Football Mark O’Neill expressed the Club’s gratitude, stating, “Clint has been an incredible servant of our Club. He has been one of the most consistent performers in the NRL over a number of years.

“The legacy Clint leaves, as a former Captain of the Club, is one of courage and competitiveness, two key attributes for any young aspiring NRL player.”

The Parramatta Eels thank Clint Gutherson for his dedication and passion throughout his time with the Club. Clint will always be a part of the Eels family, and we wish him, his partner Jesse and their children all the best for their next chapter.

For me, someone who watches every Tigers game and every home game live, yes he is already a Tigers legend and IMO the best player to ever play for the Tigers.

He has bust a gut every week despite what he is surrounded with. If there is any underperformance it is because Benji has run him into the ground, desperate to squeeze every drop out of him. Tigers Great.
