Is there anything to this? Does anyone actually know anything of substance?
Let’s hope theres no substances involved. I would say it’ll come down to who’s willing to take the most risk with his injury. Rumour is there won’t be a decision until closer to his return date because no other club wants to pay him anything near what Roosters are at the moment

BA would have built nothing. A coach will little imagination or vision, only one tactic (chase the collision)
This is demonstrably untrue. Our tactics prior to 2019 were very different. That’s when we shifted from attacking the edges to going through the middle. We also moved the ball a lot more after we brought Barrett in. This is shown in our reduced completion rates in those years.
who couldn't adapt to changed circumstances and who let the juniors wither on vine unless associated with Rhinos?
Or were they they only ones who weren’t mercenaries?
Just look at what Ryles has done in a few months that BA didn't over 11 years. Fan days, proper roster management,
Ryles said this is the responsibility of the list management group. The same list management group that built a squad that was supposedly so good it would’ve won a premiership if only it didn’t have a shit coach.

And are you saying we never had any fan days in 11 years? And do you really think the coach organises this sort of thing? It’s a marketing activity ffs. The coach turns up because it’s in his contract.
restructure of juniors up to ensure success in the future even if he isn't. A person of vision who should replace MON when he retires from coaching.
I don’t think Ryles has anything to do with restructuring the juniors. His responsibility is coaching the NRL team, which is assembled by the list management group.

Don’t go thinking NRL coaches run clubs. That hasn’t been the case since the 90s. There are entire staffs running clubs now, and they all ultimately answer to the board, who approve the budget.

Even Fox Sports didn't have them top, but ahead of us. After this year, hopefully, our spine of Iongi/Papalli, Brown, Moses, Hands/Riley Smith will be top or near.

Based on TCT reports Papalli will be impossible to leave out of the team but where to put him? Hes played mainly fullback but I'd put him in centres and move Lomax to wing but that's me. Ryles must have a plan as bought him directly into top 30. Also Smith is training the house down and is a dynamic dummy half and will partner Hands who'll start. Both players are former Aust school boys so good pedigree.

I'm fine with our spine being down the bottom - our only really known quantities are Brown, and Moses.

Iongi is a gun, but has only played one game in the top grade, and Hands is still developing.

it was one of fox sports bold predictions for 25 and then some clown ran it as if it was a real rumour

it may occur but the stuff reported is basically stuff that the fox sports person wanted /came out with outlandish predictions (if you see the other 24 they were all out there)

And while Gutherson was/is undoubtedly a better fullback than Iongi I think it was time we switched the role of our fullback. Gutherson's lack of elite initial acceleration and elite ball-playing I think at times has hindered Brown's ball-playing and the shape of our attack. It seemed at times the final decision had to be made by Gutherson, it's time that on the left side the final decision be made by Brown.

My only worry is how our defence will cope - Gutherson was a beast at the back in terms of his defence.

But Iongi is a very exciting prospect.
