Peninisi is a very good player who lost his way in D last year. Hopefully our new improved systems will correct that this year and he thrives in our new setup with faster players around him.
He also needs to cut out some of the basic handling errors that have crept in to his game. One of my spies that was at the open session last week reported he dropped the pill cold on 4 separate occasions.... It's that lack of attention to detail on the basics that have seen the team regress over the last few years...

That's fairly symptomatic of a lot of younger players - drifting in, and out, of games.

Hopefully, Ryles, and his team, bcan sort this out.

It is a nice looking backline - IF Iongi is as good as we hope. I hope so, too. Because if he isn't, there will be a pretty big Gutherson-sized hole in that backline.
Not really. Joash Papalli is the backup option here, unless he gets injured at the same time tho. Seems too good a player to be left out of 17 so wonder if will be picked as utility?

We share some of the same spies…

Assuming a six sided die, if I say there’s a 1 in 6 chance of rolling a 6, and then you roll a 6, was my ‘guess’ wrong?
How is determining if a player is good enough to play NRL a question of probability?
Does that mean if I get an enough numbered die and it rolled my number out of millions that “sorry Mitch Moses, 84 Baby is playing halfback this week. The die has spoken.”?

I'll actually back Pou on this one... I'm excited to have Joash in the squad, he is young and obviously talented, there has been big wraps on him for a couple of years.

But lets be honest the Dogs were willing to let him go and they are only currently running Tracey there, who although is a good footballer you would still say there is questions marks on him playing that position long term for them.

I'm interested to see how he goes but I hope this isn't another example of a TCT overhype.

Dogs also let Alomotti go.

I have heard from someone who has a source within the Dogs club that even though Papalii has talent they were willing to let him go because his attitude wasn’t great.

Can’t say how true that is, but if it is then hopefully a change of clubs might see him pick up his act.
