Some years were pretty good.
Every year under this other guys was absolutely miserable.

Also, without BA we may have never played in the most exciting game this decade:

SPOONBOWL!!!!
Who knows what they might of done with 11 seasons?? Who knows what anyone would have done?? I just know that besides early 2016 when we were cheating the cap I never ever felt we were a chance of winning anything under Baldie. Well besides a spoon of course.

They've proven it with their records since then - NOTHING.

I’m not sure if I’m looking at the side through blue and yellow goggles or if Jimmy/RTP have no idea. If we finish 10-11th like they’re predicting I’ll be very disappointed. I don’t understand what they mean by the side not having talent. Seems fine to me.

Realistically it’s hard for people to imagine a team that could hardly beat their own dicks last season improving to make the 8

Fair enough because it isn’t a common thing for teams to improve that much in the course of one off-season.

However I agree I think we are more than capable of making the 8, especially in a year where it appears on paper to be closer than ever. The more the media right us off the better imo, hopefully we can catch other teams off guard also.

I don't think Stuart has done any better at all, but maybe Pou will resurrect a previous Stuart vs Arthur analysis if it exists.
I did say he hasn't done any worse with less, Arthur fluked a prelim and jagged and a win and got embarrassed. Stuart had made 3 prelims and a GF in which his team almost won. Both are prettyaverage Stuart rightfully cops it deluxe on here but Bea Arthur is some sort of sacred cow.

Wait so BA teams never touched a ball during preseason ?

Denying random podcasters were factually wrong when they agree with their viewpoints isn’t @Incorrect or @hineyrulz job

Yep no one wanted him so he quickly activated it.

Depends on how many games we get out of him.

For a bloke that only plays two-thirds of the season i would say his on more then what his market value currently would be.

2026 will be th last year for Matto & Lane we can start to look to use thier money somewhere else.

We have a few players coming off contract that we probably won't be keeping for 2026-2027.

Comes to down to Injuries.

Realistically we have 4 games at Commbank in the first 7 weeks and a home game in Darwin.

There is no reason to be not 4-3 at a minimum after 7 rounds.

If we do start fast early i see no reason why we can't build and get better once confidence & belief grows.

12 wins plus a good F/A gets you in the finals.

16 wins generally gets you top 4.

I think were in between that 14 win season around 6th-7th imo if we nail those close games.

We can’t support the new coach without lying about the old one.

You reckon we’ll win anything in the future without spending outside the cap, illegal or otherwise?

Agreed. They are entitled to, since they gave up money when they agreed to the PO in the first place. We've already benefited from the PO. Now it's Drown's turn.

It's not exactly the same. The difference is we can't f**k him off if we wanted to. But if we gave him this contract in the first place it means we wanted him to stay.

All possible. But when we gave Drown this contract we decided we were happy for him to stay if he activated the option. If he doesn't, we will use his cap space elsewhere. The longer it goes on, the more likely it is he will stay. Rival offers will come with their own deadlines and there's currently plenty of first graders off contract.

If these players didn't have POs, and we wanted to keep them, what sort of deadlines do you really think we would be imposing?

Lomax was still available in April last year. Players are all f**king whingers these days, and a club with cap space is very attractive. Plenty of merkins will be homesick for Kellyville. And I'm not just talking about the Arthur's boys.
That’s an interesting comment at the end. Who do you think would consider a homecoming..?
