Just watching 15 minute highlights of 1992 state of origin 1. What a beautiful sport it use to be.
How could we get back to that?

Probably means they now have access to some TPAs that they didn’t before.

Good to hear.
Looks like they've found more resources in general now the CoE is paid for. From the recent Sarantinos/O'Neill interview, regarding pathways investment:

"...putting the resourcing around it, I feel very privileged that our board and senior executive have shown such support for the program with their investment, and the commitment they've made. And it's allowed us to get full time staff, not only in coaching but also athletic performance..."

Heard that the Chairman said at the members forum tonight that Player Options haven’t been used since 2022 and will not be used again in the future. Oh well. Anyone from on here at the event?
I think he said May 23 since options have been included in contracts.
Only 3 players with player options now.

I was going but decided to spend the week away fishing instead. Would have been good to hear from Ryles and Beach.

Yep, I’d say it’s more likely that they’ve realised it’s more worthwhile letting players leave and replacing them than being held over a barrel with these POs.
They're free to leave because they're off contract, not because of the PO. The PO does the opposite. It means they are free to stay even if we don't want them, e.g. Dunster.
