Well, this news has come as a happy surprise today.
Nothing in the media, just getting it all done behind closed doors. Fantastic.

Now we just have to hope his good form from Origin and Aus continues into this season and beyond. The last couple of years he has become a little injury prone, so fingers crossed he can get past that.

I reckon it's based on defensive work rate, Moretti simply doesn't even work hard enough (which has always been his problem).

Look at the trials for tackles:

Knights
Guymer 28
Mataele 18
Sammy 15

Tigers
Doorey 28
Mataele 16
Sammy 13
Moretti 13
Guymer 12, but played edge

So the 2 that beat him for a spot Doorey/Guymer both made more than double the tackles as Moretti (but wouId also need playing mins for a better comparison), when in the middle.

While the 2 rookies appear to be similar to Moretti. However they may not be in front of Moretti, and Ryles just wants to give them some exposure to an NRL game preparation.

But yeah he could also be injured and club couldn't be bothered to report it, but then they did also report on Penisini Jr, Hawkins, Kautoga and Dunster.

1. How does he know it happened quickly? We could have been talking for a while.
2. Who says it can’t happen quickly if both parties reach reasonable and mutually beneficial terms.
3. As I’ve said before, maybe Mitch didn’t want a circus just to squeeze a bit more out of the club for which he will become a 10yr player and the club that made him captain.

Yeah, it’s possible we know Drown is going but that doesn’t mean we rushed in and bent over.

a) Knights need to do some NRL audit stuff before they can register his contract ?
b) Brown is wavering or looking for POs.
c) He's waiting for the Eels to lock in some TPAs.

Doesn't really mean much when you don't have the minutes. Along with who possession stats when the players were on the field or even what team was playing.
