It's not like sanders has landed in a better situation, fog and strange are going to be hard to get past. Infact sanders would have been playing FG now if he was at the Eels.

I'm sure the upper brass at the Eels are fuming they have lost three halves options they have developed in the last year.

Maybe you'd like to explain why the club isn't offering POs anymore??

The sooky brigade aligned to him all need to go and go now...any of the players left who "would die for him" must be removed....the culture has been toxic for ages and needs to be rebuilt.
Full demolition job

BA wouldn't know what a leader look like if it bit him on the arse.

The same bloke who thought Corey Norman & Dylan Brown had quality leadership he gave them both the captaincy on game days when the skippers were missing.

Both of those Idiots got themselves suspended for 7-8 weeks for stupid off-field incidents at different stages while we paid a massive price as a club.

I noticed there was a dopey poster on the TCT that was whinging on Sunday that this is Ryles Roster for the debacle trying to defend BA.

Ryles is stuck in the middle atm stuck with the Arthur left overs and half trying to mould what he wants.

Its no where near the roster that Ryles might want right now.

He may have cut too deep into the forwards losing RCG. But RCG was the most expendable because he was more in demand. Short term pain for long term gain hopefully.

Will be interesting to see if Apa gets moved to 6 in today's team list. He played the first Flegg game at fullback, with Matt Hunter at 6 and Josh Lynn at 7.

That's an assumption, not a premise.
You can include that as a possibility, but it may not be so.

The flipside to that is, assuming that it is true, and we didn't offer Brown the extension, he would have finished with the club in 2023 per his previous extension ( https://www.nrl.com/news/2019/12/03/dylan-brown-agrees-to-new-deal-with-eels/ )
Would that have been so bad, not having him here last year??


Ifs/ buts/ maybes - reality is the timing sux, and we shot ourselves in the foot with that.

If Dylan said at end of 2022 he was finishing up with the club in 2023.

He would have been sacked in disgrace on the spot back in July of that year.

Quality attracts quality hence why I state we need to sign 4-5 quality players next yr whilst continuing to blood the young blokes through.
If you don't sign quality then ur at a big risk of missing out players because some and most players don't want to go to a team where the roster is gash and you will constantly be losing games.
Losing becomes a habit.
Winning needs to become the habit plus we need to sign leaders. Also players with footy smarts.
Easier said than done but we need to be very astute with the next signings as the cleanout and rebuild starts now

We also need players who might not be the best players in their position but have a tough mindset, particularly forwards. Those driven to succeed and have a bit of grub in them. A Ray Price clone or JWH or NAS type of player. For too long we've had prima donna players like Matto, all show and very little go, noted head droppers when things go bad. Clean the team out of those. Players who snarl at you when you make a mistake and get rid of those players giving high 5s when you make a mistake. Wtf is that these days?
