We also didn’t know Brown was going to turn into a pumpkin.
Someone on here started a thread midway through last year how overrated he was.

Thats been proven correct.

Last year was enough to show he is useless outside a dominant half. And Dylan has been on a decline for a while now.

If you watched Dylan play for the past 12-18 months honestly Newcastle must have been piss when they offered this deal. He isn't worth a buck over 300k these days let alone 1.3million.

He’s worse. Did you see his chase on Saab for the first try yesterday? Last year he doesn’t give up so easily.

And whilst it was pointed out ad nauseum by the commentators yesterday he doesn't threaten the line with his running game at all. He may not have had much of a kicking game but you could trust him to make 150m a game and give his outside players a chance at a 2v1 as he would draw defenders in as they had to tackle him. Now his biggest attacking asset is a non-factor, once Moses is back he needs to be dropped and Hawkins move over to the left. He may not have the potential running game that dylan has he at least has a kicking game so that Moses can run on the 4th

The majority of players moved on were in the 30 year old range and performing more on the downside of their pay rate. The failure to prioritise first graders as replacements is the elephant in the room.

Signing reserve graders from Dogs and South’s and a benchie from the Sharks (. Lomax was a BA signing pre the changes) was never a way to move the club to compete in 2025. The PO that Dylbro was allowed to exercise put replacing players behind the pack as timing was less than helpful. Recruitment issues perpetuate at the coalface for us.

Did hear from someone that should know, that his manager said, we will get the best offer and don’t worry as Parra will just match it and you won’t have to leave.

How did that work out with a new sheriff in town who didn’t seem yo think the salary and contract equaled reward and output .

As much as I am on board for the revolution and the change in playing roster and tactics, questions need to be seriously asked about what we did all off-season.

We had 5 months to prepare and we what we have dished out for 320 minutes is the following:

1) We look unfit - really? Immediately after a 5 month off and pre-season?

2) We look slow - both leg speed and in formation , everything is in slow motion;

3) We look disinterested;

4) We are completely lacking in cohesion.

I understand we have new players and new systems, but after a full off season you would think that the players that were there could at least exhibit some cohesion or some semblance of systems and might at least show they want to have a dig.

The fact that we can't even muster the basic requirements of a professional football team is very troubling and poses some serious questions for the coaching staff.

I think the fans deserve an honest explanation as to what is going on - if there are players pulling a go-slow or phoning it in (Lane, Brown, Lussick , Penisini), either drop them or call them out publicly - because this is beyond a joke.

Matterson, Cartwright, Kelma and Wiremu are clearly done and that might be fine, but it doesn't explain how the rest of the squad have no ability to even play to the standard of a NSW cup team in the basic elements of the game.

It is getting to the point where you can't even watch it, let alone attend games - there is zero enjoyment in tripe like yesterday for actual Parramatta fans - even the TCT boys couldn't handle it. The only alleged Parra fan I could see enjoying this would be Pou - and to be fair, he doesn't actually watch the game and his enjoyment would be derived from the endless statistical fodder and arguments provided by such a disaster.

This is just dire.
The guys from the TCT said that our training sessions were great. Hmmmmmm

It’s sad. I was one of his biggest fans.

When Ryles made all the roster changes, moving some experience players, he would have done so, thinking Moses wouId be available!

That's footy, injuries happen. But losing Moses is a massive loss to the side. Most sides struggle losing their best player and halfback.

Without Moses, our spine is very inexperienced. But Iongi / Smith will be better for the experience. Keeping Gutho, just would have limited the experience Iongi is getting now. Yeah we would probably be going better, but we wouId just be prolonging the generation change.

Same with RCG and Sammy...

Reckon Ryles is leading us in the right direction. Trust the process
He totally underestimated junz leadership. Even in the past match conference, he said junz help me out?

We just don't have any smarts in the team.

Guth and Moses i believe are smart, the others not so.

Tom couldn't move. But we kick to the side to hopoate. Effenn just kick it to Tom and our jump him.

I don't even think lomax has got footy smarts just physical and hunger.

Probably fox does but he's stuck on the wing

I suspect Dylan doesn't really want to go to Newcastle, but now he's signed he can't do anything about it, and this is a significant contribution to why he is playing the way he is at the moment.

Keeping Gutho for 2025 and having Iongi on the wing is what most sides do with succession planning. Gutho was up for it and could have played 14 later in the year. Anyway, yesterdays newspaper. Rookie coach rookie decision methinks

Iongi would be rubbish on the wing.
Whilst Gutho helped he isn't part of the rebuild. Either was RCG. Both going may give us worse results but I guarantee that their salaries would of been used to front load a few players.Mitch being one.
This is a side missing -
Moses,Simmonson,Morretti,J.Williams, Matterson,Doorey. Those 6 guys along with Walker transform the side from hopeless to your general average team that will win games.
And hopefully.next season we add 2 decent names and 1 solid NRL level player.
Lot of work to be done but luckily we got R
SMITH. Had bushy still been here no doubt he would of left and Boods would be given a clear run.
