Currently being the word...

Probably should also get a new Fullback instead of developing Iongi?

Let's just keep buying players as it's worked in the past and not bring anyone through and develop them 🤦

They've spoken about being a development club for quite a while now, cup, flegg and ball all having great seasons atm

Is it time to rely on youth and bring in some experience as a bridge

If they aren't going to recruit another hooker for next year, you'd have to assume:

1.smith
2.hands
3.hudson

If that is the plan, you'd wanna elevate Hudson to cup and Coinakis to flegg this week
Not sure there is any indication we won't recruit a hooker or won't. It's quite possible we could.

Lussick is off contract, Hands is only contract until end 2026, while Smith is development contract next year.

We only have 1 top 30 hooker who wouldn't be on huge money, for next year.

So we definitely have the top 30 spot (for next year and following), for next year and ability to pay for a good option (we have cap space and Hands/Smith are not to expensive to be playing NSW cup)

Exciting times.

100% we could recruit if a good hooker becomes available. Or they lose faith in the current group.

It's exciting but I can see the frustration we have a war chest but no signings

I can understand the frustrations here, but we don't hear much about the clubs targets anymore.

WouId be surprised if we don't sign a couple of decent top 17 options before next season.

But we won't hear anything until it happens. See the Walker signing, not a whisper in the media until deal was done.

I can see that, tbh.

Despite the loss, I liked a lot of what we saw against the Sharks.

Once Lomax comes back, we have extra attacking potency for Mitch to use.

Btw - how good is Moses? Single-handedly makes us competitive.
I feel the same but need to win this week at home against the Dolphins.

No point patting ourselves on the back for an honourable loss.

If we back it up and come out on Thursday and lose to the under performing Phins at Commbank

I wasnt that impressed against the Sharks. Funny how we see it differently. To me we never got close.

When we did, the sharks easily skipped ahead.

Yeah, some of their tries mightve been dropped balls but they beat our defense easily and ran great lines. We weren't doing anything close to it

I'm not sure I'd say that we came close to winning, but we gave 100% all game, and had some great passages of play.

The line Ramien ran to score was almost indefensible, and would have caught out the best teams in the comp.

Both teams scored 2 tries on edges to the wingers.

then you have the Iro try (knock on) and McInnes try (an obstruction play call any other day) and there was nothing between the teams.

when you consider they have AFB who is a top 3-4 prop in the game and 2 of the best centres in the game, I didn’t walk out of the ground feeling dejected by our performance.

we basically missed out on all 50/50s the entire game, and had even half of those swung our way it’s a 2 point game or we’re in golden point

We had more tackle breaks and line breaks with less possession.
