Our obligation to his health is not in question.Gee the comments on Lane's situation with zero knowledge on what is actually occurring....
Just like the Angus Crichton matter, when he spoke it, it showed just how serious his health situation was.

‘They strapped me to a stretcher and Tasered me’: Crichton opens up on mental health battle
Angus Crichton has heard the rumours that swirled after he stood down from football with bipolar disorder. Here, he sets the record straight on one of the hardest years of his life.www.smh.com.au
I couldn't care less what what affect Lanes situation is having on our cap etc!!
I just hope he is ok and getting the best help and support possible from the the eels. Lanes health is the more important than anything else!
And I’ve continued to ask some more. My main point is that there appears to be great change in pathways however aggressive recruitment is required to assist the process. MON however appears to keep avoiding any type of scrutiny and has survived like a nuclear cockroach.Wasn't that a hilarious exchange.
Avenger asked some pretty fair questions and 60s didn't appreciate it, back peddled & dodged it like a Darius Boyd attempted tackle in 2020.
Like as you say everyone wants to tiptoe around the Shaun Lane issue for obvious reasons but its now starting to take the piss someone can earn full salary and not actually turn up for work to fulfill there duties when its been over 2 months now.
You would hope that some tough conversations would have been had by now in regards to a plan moving forward.
Keeping the status quo is just hurting the club.
And ain't we all about club first mentality these days.
Sarantinos loyalty to MON unless he forces change will be his legacy more then the COE being built under his watch. And I’ve continued to ask some more. It was just a question.Come on mate.
I made the comment that if our current recruitment process continues we will be like padding a boat with one oar, going round in circles until we understand that the position needs upskilling to change direction.
How can the Roosters snatch the recruitment specialist from the Raiders ( given their results) and we retain the status quo, particularly given the results of the last 5 years across the whole spectrum of retention, contract lengths, wages and options. Sometimes it’s not how hard you are perceived to work, but how smart you are and your results.
Is he one of those that sticks to sides of the bowl?MON is unflushable.
They rated Dylan Brown as well, and he is now worth $1.3M per year.Has the TCT touched him with their overrated views yet? If not he might have a chance of success. Those blokes are career killers. Everything they touch they destroy. Poor Jake Arthur never stood a chance since they said he ran really well and just finished behind Gutho in a running race.
They knew it wasn’t a premiership roster. They were just responding to whinging fans. If they thought it was a premiership roster they would’ve kept the old coach instead of bringing one in whose job was to get rid of players. We had a premiership winning squad apparently, first thing JR does when he gets here is (rightly IMO) start to blow it up.
further proof the idiots in charge haven’t got a clue.
It’s not about that Pou. It’s about being able to play the media to our advantage. We can’t. Every player we try and sign/re-sign is almost always played out in the media. We either miss out or pay too much with options. They knew it wasn’t a premiership roster. They were just responding to whinging fans. Look at what corporate merkins do, not what they say in public. Do you really think Gould had no intention of signing Galvin? These merkins use the media to push agendas, not inform the public. They don’t give a shit what we know.
It’s not about that Pou. It’s about being able to play the media to our advantage. We can’t. Every player we try and sign/re-sign is almost always played out on the media. We either miss out or pay too much with options.
Uncle Nick and Wobbo have undue influence and maintain relations with a number of journos, even Sticky has the media onside. Flanno doesn’t get any criticism on Radio.Storm and Panthers don't seem to care to much about playing the media to their advantage.
I do agree, having a presence in the media is helpful. However how many Phil Goulds are running around? They are not easily attainable.
The options are to avoid paying too much but I get your point. Some clubs don’t have to choose between those things. Serdaris pointed to why in his recent interview with TCT. He wants to improve links with the business community so players have ‘opportunities’.It’s not about that Pou. It’s about being able to play the media to our advantage. We can’t. Players are required to have a month off each year. Assuming SoO is played over 3 weeks after the GF, they would miss the start of pre-season.losing Moses again because of SOO injuries Make for a good case for it to be played after the season ends I'd rather win a premership not a soo
What's the difference with end of season internationals?Players are required to have a month off each year. Assuming SoO is played over 3 weeks after the GF, they would miss the start of pre-season.
They would have to be held after Origin, extending everyones break even further wouldn't they? What's the difference with end of season internationals?
