Insert Panthers somewhere. Bigger Juniors area, larger Leagues Club backing, high-profile media personality, etc.1. Roosters
2. Bulldogs
3. Eels

I am giving Ryles a free pass this year and actually backing him to see out his contract and lead us somewhere in a positive direction. So Ricky / Canberra are allowed a poor year (2014 as per your opinion), when changing approaches but Parramatta/Ryles isn't allowed a poor year after change approaches......
As you said 2023 should be our "poor year", fair enough, 2024 was tracking poor, we sacked the coach and moved on...
So the club is doing exactly as you want, but you aren't willing you give Ryles/Eels the same considerations as you give Ricky!
BTW our mob, have only been in place since 2019.....Ricky went 15th, 10th, 2nd, 10th, 10th, then GF. 5 years to get to the GF, our mob went 5th, 4th, 5th, GF, 4 years to get to GF.....
Also all clubs have poor years except Storm.
I think a lot of a club's culture is driven from the head coach and how they want things done.
2023 - shit2019 - 5th
2020 - 4th
2021 - 5th
2022 - 4th and GF
2023 - not great but won 50% of games
2024 - shit
recruitment has not been poor for 5 years....we have only had one shit season since 2019 where we lost more then we won.
Could we do things better, absolutely !! 110%!! But its not a shit show!
Since the 20th June, 2023 so 2 x years ago today. How did the club get it so right?
Come on mate mediocrity is where it’s at, we know it’s what gets him off.I get where you're coming from, but that's a defeatist attitude. Just because the Roosters, Storm, and Panthers have set the bar high doesn’t mean we shouldn’t expect better from our own club. Settling for “we can’t do better” is exactly why we’re stuck in mediocrity.
But how do you explain the fact that for years people claimed that there was no one better than BA …and when anyone took them to task on this absurdity, the Pouciples rode to the rescue! But I guess that just suited the agenda at the time, but now it’s okay to admit that BA was not setting the club up for success.I think a lot of a club's culture is driven from the head coach and how they want things done.
But in reality it's only been one poor year 2024. And look at the squad turn over between 2024 to 25....
I agree pathways was poor and a big factor in us not being able to replace players we lost in 2022. But is that MON and Co's fault?
It all costs money, and it looks like the club has decided to spend up big in that area now (that's not MON area).
That’s how you get it so right……..Since the 20th June, 2023 so 2 x years ago today.
We have won 15 games from 46 played.
We havent missed a beat in the last 24 months.
Depends how you measure it. We only had one of them selected in the rep sides this week. And we have long accepted that our pathways and club culture were ignored until the pathways review and changes were made and the new coach came in about 10 months ago to start rebuilding the club culture from the ground up.
How's our pathways going these days?
Well make up your mind. First you tried to justify the hypothetical signing and now you’re refusing to commit because we don’t all the information. Which is it?I answered yours. The answer is that it all depends on information we (you, me and the rest of these slobs) don’t have.
Decision is made by the Board on where to allocate funds based on recommendations from various department heads and the lawn-mowing guy.@emjaycee you obviously have more knowledge than most of us of the inner workings of the club.
Do you know, Who makes the decisions to increase spending on pathway players? Increase the pathway resources? Where does the funding come from?
Come on mate mediocrity is where it’s at, we know it’s what gets him off.
And let’s face it we are a small tin pot club with no money and no resources.
Decision is made by the Board on where to allocate funds based on recommendations from various department heads and the lawn-mowing guy.
As Pathways form part of the Football side of the business, I would imagine the West Tigers Lifemember and chief trolley pusher has used his MBA gained skills to propose a structure and budget for increasing the quality and output of our Pathways programs, based on the review that was done in 2021/22.
But maybe it was just when Ryles came in.
Club culture isn't only First Grade team performance. But how do you explain the fact that for years people claimed that there was no one better than BA …and when anyone took them to task on this absurdity, the Pouciples rode to the rescue! But I guess that just suited the agenda at the time, but now it’s okay to admit that BA was not setting the club up for success.
Roosters a big club??
Take out their billionaire owner how big are they really?? No juniors, no fans they bring SFA to RL. And the dogs?? Their fair weather fans have only come out of their hovels the last 12 months.
I’d argue we are number 1, considering lack of success the last 40 years it wouldn’t even be close if we weren’t such a clusterf**k.
It's most likely an internal working document that most organisations wouldn't share outside of their business I imagine.Fair question should or is this be available to members?
