Completely disagree. He is exactly what we need. We’d be crazy not to sign him. Plus earlier in the week the CEO stated on the podcast interview that we need to shore up the hooking position. Hopefully he was referring to this particular opportunity.TDS is great quality and may be a future rep player, but I’m not sure he’s what we need right now. If Smith hadn’t come along in leaps and bounds then we hopefully would have been 100% all in on TDS - but he’ll want to be starting 9, and I’m sure Smith does too - it just doesn’t compute when other clubs are in need of a starting 9.
my guess is an immediate player swap with Newcastle for KPP
I heard a rumour that I hold no stock in but if it were true I’d be very pissed.
Mahoney to Cows
Da Silva to Dogs
Not this season though
Nah Reed says he trusts Gussy.I heard a rumour that I hold no stock in but if it were true I’d be very pissed.

Arent Galvin and De Silva mates? Surely the Dogs is where he lands?I heard a rumour that I hold no stock in but if it were true I’d be very pissed.

This makes sense.I heard a rumour that I hold no stock in but if it were true I’d be very pissed.

This also makes senseCompletely disagree. He is exactly what we need. We’d be crazy not to sign him. Plus earlier in the week the CEO stated on the podcast interview that we need to shore up the hooking position. Hopefully he was referring to this particular opportunity.
This is f**ken nuts.Nah Reed says he trusts Gussy.
Ryles vision deserves to play out 100%Z the lawn mower man Jim can get stuffed. Sack him now.Fair points on both sides..the recruitment has been underwhelming, but Ryles and Jim’s long-term vision deserves some time to play out. Let’s hope the pathway strategy pays off before the fanbase completely loses faith.
The only reason he won’t make it’s is because the TCT said he was good. They also said Boods was the next Cam Smith HAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAI’ve heard Coinakis is quite small and probably won’t make it.
We are having a big crack at himTDS ceiling is higher then Ryley's.
Were kidding ourselves if we dont have a crack.
A better question is how 19 years worth of results is the fault of anyone currently at the club. Surely it points to structural disadvantages rather than some scapegoat who can be conveniently replaced. How is that 7 bottom four finishes in 19 years acceptable.
Yeah good that's what i was told today as well.We are having a big crack at him
At the GM level and above, the culture of the club is related to business outcomes, not football outcomes. That’s true to an extent, but I’d say the head of football plays an even bigger role in setting the long-term culture. Coaches come and go, but it's the head of football who oversees the bigger picture, recruitment strategy, development pathways, and the type of people brought into the club.
They set the framework that a coach operates within. A strong football department ensures cultural consistency regardless of who’s coaching.
What was wrong with the culture under BA? It got results. It got us further than any merkin since Brian Smith, despite our recruitment/retention challenges. But how do you explain the fact that for years people claimed that there was no one better than BA …and when anyone took them to task on this absurdity, the Pouciples rode to the rescue! But I guess that just suited the agenda at the time, but now it’s okay to admit that BA was not setting the club up for success.
Where also having a crack at an under 19 qld back from last nightYeah good that's what i was told today as well.
We are keen internally on getting him.
I think Ryles badly needs a scalp in the recruitment side of things just to add more polish into what he is building.
He can only spend the budget allocated to him. I’m sure he would’ve loved this new facility ten years ago, for example. I’m sure he would’ve preferred to resource our pathways the way they are now (since the CoE was paid for) back when he started.Fair enough.. but if we’re being honest, the lack of pathways and succession planning is on the head of football. That’s their job, to make sure the club isn’t just focused on the now, but has a clear strategy for sustained success. Losing key players after 2022 without having ready made replacements isn’t just bad luck it’s poor planning.
Yeah, spending has ramped up now, but that’s reactive. The head of football should’ve had that vision years earlier. A big part of their role is ensuring the club’s football department is future-proofed not scrambling after the fact.
You’d have to assume it’s because another club got him. He can only play for one club ffs. The Bulldogs seem cashed up these days. Galvin supposedly took a pay cut to join them. Perhaps Da Silva also hates money?Apparently talyn de Silva available b4 June 30 , watch us stuff this one up and the apologists find a reason why we couldn't sign him
No team was more lucky than us getting into that 2022 GF. We were probably the weakest runners up in the last 20 years. Yet you will use it regardless. What was wrong with the culture under BA? It got results. It got us further than any merkin since Brian Smith, despite our recruitment/retention challenges.
I justified the signing because he’s a solid player. But whether we get him or not doesn’t say anything about our offer or those of our rivals. Maybe we sign him because we offered $100k more than anyone else. Maybe we offer overs and he chooses to sign with Bulldogs for less. They haven’t won a finals match in nearly a decade ffs. Any player would be inspired by that.Well make up your mind. First you tried to justify the hypothetical signing and now you’re refusing to commit because we don’t all the information. Which is it?
