Still a great defender and will add experience. But I think he’s pretty one dimensional with the ball.

I honestly don’t know how he suits our new style of play. Seems like a signing BA would have made to be honest.

I think he was signed for his experience, and to toughen up our ruck defence.

Exactly why I labelled it as an 'interesting' signing.
Never someone who crossed my radar that we would look to sign but as someone else commented, we need some experience in the pack to give the younger guys time to develop and Debelin's form of late is way better than Lane, Cartwright, Offa, and probably Matto.

No matter what words Jim or MoN used, we didnt sign Debelin without Ryles deciding he wanted him. We either trust Ryles knows what he is doing or we don't, so for me the jury is out until I see Debelin perform in the Blue and Gold.

We already have Moses, Lomax and the New Zealand 5/8. I make that 3 x elite players, 2 more than the Dogs. We just need a better draw and consistent refereeing brought about by a better media presence pushing our cause.

We have the juniors and now we clearly have the coaching squad to deliver a premiership in the next 3 years.

Good point. Our Back Office has turned the corner with everyone keeping shtum and working in unison. The foundations were laid a few years ago.

Look I trust Ryles judgement, if he thinks he’ll add some experience and competition in the squad and it’s the right price, sure. Glad it’s only 1 year with a club option.

The signing doesn’t make much sense to me. He’s solid but doesn’t strike me as a Ryles style forward at all… old, no leg speed, limited ball playing.

No risk signing great work Parra

One year with CO, we are paying big money for that merkin. Which is not to say it’s a bad signing. He fits our style, and we do need to use our cap space.
