Benji has developed Galvin, Latu Fainu, Heath Mason, the TDS that everyone here is salivating about through from juniors.

Isn't he the head coach? It's not his job to develop juniors, that's what the pathways staff get paid to do.

Galvin, TDS, Mason & Fainu were already in the senior squad when Benji became head coach and he developed them into regular first graders, one of them earning $1M a year at 19. Thats development and its exactly a head coachs job.

Positioned nicely or just not as bad as your previous three years? Every merkin makes the mistake of assuming that just because they have some young players now that they'll be there for a decade. The salary cap takes them as soon as they improve, or at least forces other players out.

I thought a merkin like you would appreciate and understand a good graph....

Our back office has shut the leaks so well even the players and the agents we are talking to don't know that we are.

I think 600 to 650 is very reasonable for a player like him, he'd be a starting 9 at most clubs right now including ours...it all depends whether we have the ability to get it over the line, I have grave concerns that we can.

Take it from someone with experience, when you are bottom of the ladder you just simply overpay, period.

When you overpay on established quality, you REALLY over pay (Think Luai), when you overpay on potential, you still overpay, but its just a smaller number and you pray the potential makes that number more palatable over time (Think all the Fainus).
