I got wind the Dolphins had something cooking yesterday arvo.

But the bloke i was with wouldn't tell me what it is. He was sworn to secrecy.

I guess it was Cobbo joining them.

I was half winding him up was it George Williams coming back to the NRL trying to get him to take the bait.

I agree with you mate, the press conference with the journo vultures chasing a news grab moment. That sort of stuff then often has a coach gone within the week or two. If they get towelled up this weekend after the bye, I say he is gone.

Fins will have a decent backline now with him.. I assume he takes avarillos centre spot.

Good chance they can win a comp in the next 2-3 years.

If they can get Flegler back, Katoa will be better next year.

Wont have many weaknesses across the park.

They have quality across the park.

I would be enquiring about getting Ray stone back here there will be a potential squeeze on the cap with the upgrades for Katoa that will be looming.

And conceding penalties isn’t necessarily the sign of ill discipline. Gutherson is one of the (footy) smartest players in the game. He knows when a penalty is better than a quick play-the-ball.

- will be active in market but focus is on giving juniors a chance. Mentioned re-signing Sammy when asked about will we recruit any big name forwards
- said we will have a few re-signings soon

I’m happy for us not to pursue a 6 for next season assuming we can’t get someone like Savala for a year on loan. However we need some more speed out wide and I’d be going all out for Averillo. About to turn 25, plays on the same side as Penisini but can play both sides without a problem. Has elite pace and seems to have gone past his early injuries.
