Gee the journos have had a bad year, they'll be quick to condemn players when they're out on a bender or misbehaving, different when it happens to them.

Haven't seen anything about Hooper on the socials.

Because as much as they try, NRL360, sideline commentary, 100% footy etc the game doesn't revolve around journalists.

What on earth is going on at the South Sydney Rabbitohs. Old Wayne Bennett was recently offered boom young Melbourne Storm halfback Jonah Pezet on a one-year loan deal to start next season. It could have led to a longer-term deal.
And they knocked it back. How can the recruitment people at this club not understand how good this player is. I rate him up there alongside the best youngsters in the game including Isaiya Katoa and Ethan Strange. Seriously, CEO Blake Solly has to take a long hard look at their recruitment.

If he’s so good, why don’t the Storm loan out Cameron Munster instead?

Fox Sports’ James Hooper learns fate after drunken car crash in Sydney

Former Fox Sports’ NRL reporter James Hooper has been banned from driving for two years after drunkenly smashing his ute into multiple parked cars in Sydney’s inner west.

Hooper reportedly told police, “You got me … I’m blind,” before returning a breathalyser result suggesting he was five times over the legal limit.

On Monday, Hooper was convicted of high range drink-driving after entering a plea before the Downing Centre Local Court. Three counts of not giving his details were not entered on his criminal record, although he was found guilty.

Magistrate Christine Haskett disqualified Hooper from driving for two years and ordered him to an 18-month community corrections order, which is effectively a good behaviour bond.

That's a lenient sentence considering the circumstances, some would even say his profile protected him, much like Mam.

Indian mega star Diljit Dosanjh is going to be performing at Parra Stadium in October and the Indian community in parramatta/western sydney has gone ape shit over this. Apparently he is huge. The Punjabi community are very cultural and hard working which sounds like what RL is.
It is a big opportunity, but I imagine the Parra football club will not lift a finger to try to see if there is something they can do with this event to get the Indian community to feel like part of the Eels community and attending games.

I heard the eels are going to be running open try outs on the field to help fill the vacant 6 position.
