Well one thing is for sure

The Storm v Eels Rivalry is about to have a new chapter and i can go back to hating the pricks completely again

I have gone a bit soft on them in recent years maybe because most of the shit merkins have left. Not that i was cheering for them.

But they havent been as hateable as previous storm sides.

But i suppose with Lomax and the smell of it the true full blown hatred can return for good with the slime bags down there on the same level as the Dogs and Manly.

And when we finally beat the pricks in a semi final it can finally go to another level again and earn some respect in the rivalry.

So,if the NRL fails to support the Eels and and a signed contract, then watch the agents have a field day with signed playing contracts. Any weakness from the NRL re legitimate signed documents with this “we need best players playing”, is fertile ground for player managers wishing to move players on and any weakness to a few obviously favoured clubs is dangerous. Salary cap can’t be policed, now contracts can be over ruled by a magic wand from HQ.

Be careful what you wish for NRL, could make the competition even more obviously them and us.

That’s weird… I could’ve sworn I wrote the
Which raises an sore point, for should Scum sign Lomax presumably for significantly less than we did, then the NRL need to explain how it isn’t a very similar situation to us trying to sign Israel Folau. Surely there should be a prescribed value for a CURRENT rep player as opposed to a former rep player
They've never satisfactorily done that and I'm pretty sure they aren't planning it in the future. Many teams have been permitted to do so since then though.
OUR future is in OUR hands. f**kem.

Hate intensifies.

Let the hate rise! and let any political party legislate against my righteous hatred of the Scum!!

Let Lomax hang out to dry on his Eels contract.

We need to demonstrate to the rest of the comp we're not a bunch of easybeat has-beens, we're an elite squad of tomorrow's men hellbent on recovering our NRL crown.

If Lomax's media team instigate media beat ups on his behalf, with beat up stories of what he could be if he was given half the chance he was already given ten fold...so what?

They say we want Lomax ball's drawn and hung to the sky

All we want is recompense

It's a word that the NRL needs to learn

That's how it's gonna be with the new Eels

f**k you, Vlandys

They might argue that we are not disadvantaged because we are no longer paying him. Obviously the market means you can't replace a player of his price/value in the time frame we have to recruit for round one, unless someone else highly valuable is willing and able to get a release this close to season kickoff. And what if nobody is? I don't think the NRL will give a shit about us. They want Lomax back in the game. It will come down to the law enforcing Lomax's contract, that he gains no benefit from unless he can find another NRL gig.
I dont think its necessarily about the eels but it would be a dangerous precedent to set in terms of players being able to break out of a contract multiple times with no consequences. It would devalue the meaning of contracts especially long term ones that players sign.

From the RLPAs view its potentially something owners will bring up next time they negotiate too putting them on the backfoot. Who knows whats going to happen but as much as lomax may put bum on seats the long term impacts of letting a player breaking contracts left right and center isnt a good look.

How about letting him go but he can never play against the Eels for the duration of the contract.
What if he continues to be a rubbish centre like he has been his whole career and we’re the only team that don’t get to see the benefit of his 3 flick passes over the sideline a game and shit defensive reads? Can we drop the don’t play against us clause ? Would rather have him goal kicking against us than a kicker that kicks over 70%.

Honestly the club need to bring him and his management in and tell them to give a list of clubs he’d be happy to play at and where he won’t have his annual sook and leave . Then negotiate the best outcome for us amongst those clubs. If he says he’ll only play for Melbourne I fail to see how our clause wouldn’t hold up legally with all the options in the world he could chose and I’d leave him hanging until Melbourne come to the party. What an absolute derrick he is seriously , shows how desperate Melbourne are all of a sudden that they’d even entertain signing the someone with so many red flags around him. He isn’t the sort of bloke they’ve traditionally signed but this offseason seems to have messed with them a bit .
