PVL has been great for the sport he has his flaws and his ego can get out of control at times like we have seen recently.

But Greenberg was as useless as Gallop and Dave Smith.

PVL is still 100 lengths ahead of them and what they did for the game even for these baffling calls recently.

Look at Cricket Australia now under Toddy Greenberg watch and see it plunder to the gutter selling its soul & property to Indian investors for a quick buck

Will ruin the summer of cricket forever once IPL owners get there claws into Australian domestic cricket will flow into the International summer.

I'm sorry, but I don't agree.

I think Vlandys is just as bad.

Look at the PNG debacle - he's a clown.

That's because the stupid government need d the NRL and threw 600million bucks at it .

He has been good for the game growing it and also seeing where they were losing money and where they could be making money..

The previous CEOs all just towed the line of Nine and Fox and didn't have a big picture..

Nope, his defence didnt bother me (although its a demonstration of his lack of effort). His gutless hiding in attack disgusted me (2 runs for 6m and no PTB in 80mins). Weak gutless and the definition of the person he is. his team mates should have not let him in the dressing room.

Good player though.
He was probably the lightest player on the field. His job is to run the ball only when there's space. That means either waiting for a quick play-the-ball (i.e. relying on his forwards getting momentum) or standing wider (and then relying on others to get the ball to him). When his team's under the pump, running more means hit ups by a man weighing 85kg, and the resulting slow play-the-ball. It wouldn't benefit him or the team.

Is that what the stats say or the eye test?
They are never in conflict. When Mitch Moses misses a tackle it goes down as a statistic. When better defenders Cleary and Drown miss a tackle, it also goes down as a statistic, though far less often. If you claim Moses does other good defensive stuff that isn't counted in stats, and the eye test told you so, then I'll tell you that Cleary and Drown also do that stuff. Source: the eye test.

Yeah Cleary is a good defender knows when to slide unlike Brown who has a 90% tackle efficiency. He doesn't slide well or know when to push in. That doesn't show up on the eye test.

It also doesn't show in the stats the attacking teams plan either.

That's why you don't just look at one game's worth of stats. Sample size and all that. If a guy is a poor defender, teams will get at him and he will miss even more tackles.

He might have grown the game.

But he's also responsible for diluting the quality of the sport with all his ridiculous, constant rule changes.

He's also a liar, and a bully.

I don't believe that because his predecessor was horrible, it makes him halfway competent.

I find him insipid, inept, and uninspiring.

Well Toddy Greenberg said today he is looking at moving the Boxing Day Test to Play T20 cricket

His killing cricket quicker then PVL is killing League.

At least PVL saved it from the mess his predecessors like Toddy left it in.

I think PVL will back off this Lomax shit anyway he was never quoted on it and its all still smoke and mirrors at this stage.

I don't agree with his PNG nonsense & some rule changes including the need keep changing..

But you cant argue the quality of the game and sport is in better shape i reckon then i have ever seen watching it.

We have had 2 of the greatest GFs in the modern era 2023 & 2025.

One of the great semi final series last year. Including one of the great finals that went for nearly 100 mins.

From 2006-2019 it was like a dour wrestling match a lot of time across the weekend in all games.

We probably have gone too far the other way where some games have turned into touch footy.

But all sports are in the entertainment business.

The only downside about the game is the lopsided structure of big clubs over little clubs and benefits/favoritism they get that smaller clubs don't get.

Not sure if that will ever be fixed and the Fixturing is impossible unless everyone plays each other twice.

How would they be illegally assembled? He can only play foe Storm if Parra let him or he challenges the Contract in court. Both would be legal.
8pm Thursday 4th March he enters the AAMI park playing arena in Storm kit. No legal challenge, no permission from Eels. Who allowed that?

*5th

Tuesday 3rd March he’s named on Teamlist Tuesday - we immediately request injunction and he is forced to withdraw.
Smart play by the club to force Scum to use up a team list spot

Are you telling me that stats dont tell the full story Pou?

Same game Luke Brooks 60m in 10 runs
