Then hopefully he says it's enforceable. That won't happen.
The judge will either say the contract by us is enforceable or it's not.

I thought NAS left the StormOr is hit in an awkward tackle and snaps his knee in two places and becomes an expensive plodder
They MAY direct something in between but it’ll depend on wording of releaseThat won't happen.

Won't happen, if there is one thing that Lomax is terrible at it's kicking goals, not only on the field but off the field as well by the looks of it.For the sake of you Parra fans, I hope it doesn't go like this:
Judge: Parra, take him back or release him from his non-compete clause.
Parra: we have no cap space left as we have signed a replacement player as Lomax told us he no longer wanted to play in the NRL and was happy to sign the release.
Judge: so do a deal with another NRL club.
Parra: we have tried but will only do it on our terms as Storm is trying to screw us.
Judge: well bad luck, you must release him.
Parra: we have been shafted and screwed.
Lomax joins Storm and kicks the winning field goal against his former team in round 1. Sound familiar?
That’s okThanks for some useful Information....
I look at it like this; suppose he was still at Parra but didn’t want to be here anyway. Would you keep him just because he has a contract? There is an opportunity cost to having any player on your books, so you’re better off rissoling merkins who don’t want to be there. You can use the cap space somewhere else. Even if it’s just re-signing existing players ‘cheaper’ by frontloading them with a signing bonus. For the sake of you Parra fans, I hope it doesn't go like this:

Feeling a bit irrelevant? Needed to start a BA brawl to soothe the inner troll?Plenty of bad faith smartarse merkins around here. For example, apparently nOtHiNg Is ThE cOaCh’S jOb.
Why?The NRL NEED Melbourne to stay strong
You think people come here to feel relevant? That says a lot about you.Feeling a bit irrelevant? Needed to start a BA brawl to soothe the inner troll?

I’m just here to have a giggle and discuss footy. If that leads to robust disagreement, that’s fine. Nobody’s going to get hurt.
On the other hand, professional soccer clubs that refuse to accept transfer requests get a reputation for being places players can get stuck at. This makes recruitment/retention more difficult (i.e. more expensive). At some point one must stand up for themselves and not be a cuck. Otherwise you're going to be trodden on forever. This isnt about just Lomax. This is setting an example for our playing group. Otherwise we'd end up like the Tigers. If we lose 200k so be it.
Well as long as you’re having fun continuing to think and talk about me, I won’t stop you. Living rent free in your head would be more pleasant if you’d clean up all the shit in here. Not people? Just you.
I think overall league sentiment even amongst players is that we are in the right here. If anything our club has been incredibly accommodating of Zacs request of leaving 3 years early. So if im the club im not worried about being seen as a difficult to deal with club because we really arent. In fact i feel like weve let players go so they can chase more money (regardless of whos benefit)On the other hand, professional soccer clubs that refuse to accept transfer requests get a reputation for being places players can get stuck at. There’s always two sides to the coin. Our management have obviously decided we won’t let player agents walk all over us, and the consequence is now the narrative that we are ‘difficult to deal with’. You can’t have your cake and eat it too, but if you’re not careful you might end up with no cake, and also not be able to eat it. Or something.
Being smart as well by the looks.Being a smartass isn't the coaches job
Why?
NRL will benefit waaaaay more from having strong Sydney and QLD clubs. If Melbourne fell over tomorrow, no one would suffer. In fact it would strengthen the rest of the league, especially the underrepresented QLD market.
