Ryles made a comment about what conditions he applies when signing a marque player.
I can't remember what it was though.
@Stagger eel might recall.
Leg speed, attitude and a sound background

Into still bodies of waterSound background? Like they played the guitar?
That was any signing.Leg speed, attitude and a sound background
It’s midweek and I’m drinking alone so it’s only blackBlue label i hope.
Really good leg speed? That was any signing.
I think there was something about marque player has to be a point of major difference in winning games, or something.
Really good leg speed?
Yeh id love to see us have a go at Bostock - could be origin level in a year or so. Was in great form prior to the injury and is still young. Hopefully because of the injury hes on the outer and we can swoop in and whisper sweet things to himI’ve go my two recruiting ideas and I will explain why. These two, are not elite in their own right but I think would be great recruits that would skyrocket our team growth.
1) Spencer Leniu.
How?
I think Roosters have arguably the best stock of booming forwards coming through, I don’t think they’d be upset to gain his cap space back.
What would he do for Eels?
He’d add attitude, experience, leg speed, huge impact, mentoring the kids coming through.
2) Jack Bostock.
How?
Like above, I think Dolphins have an embarrassment of riches in quality outside backs.
What would he do for Eels?
Genuinely large large human. Has plenty of strength and out the back end and a big kick threat. He is young still and I’d argue would be our best winger.
I think Spencer is on big money circa 800k but bring him back “home” West. I think Jack would be dynamic with Moses and his kick accuracy.
I’m thinking both would catapult us forward, and be realistic targets for 27 despite they currently status.
Edit - and yes, don’t care if Spencer starts or plays big impact minutes off the bench.
I think Leniu is realistic, for the reason you gave. But Bostock would be the last merkin the Dolphins would let go. Or maybe the third last.I’ve go my two recruiting ideas and I will explain why.
