Two rules need to be changed.
First -
7 tackles if ball goes dead in goals. Teams now are to worried to put in an attacking kick and instead are just taking the tackle and playing percentages for the risk of giving away a 7 tackle set. It was a silly rule to begin with. By giving 7 tackles your basically getting the ball from the 30mtr line. Making a bad kick not worth the risk. Scrap the silly rule and let teams go back to putting some excitement on the last tackle.

2 - Golden point. Has become a filed goal shoot out, where reffs do not blow penalties!!!
In normal games if its 80mins can not seperate them then call it a draw.
In finals An extra 10 mins each half. 5 is to short.

No penalties ?

So we can see players bringing Oozies onto the ground and wiping out the opposition

sounds fair

Sorry i fixed it Twizzle. I meant to say what golden point is now. A field goal shoot out and no penalties for offside.

Tackle One – Ma’u the latest Eel to chase unpaid deal

The ripple effect of Parramatta’s salary cap storm has impacted yet another player; and it’s arguably their most damaging forward.

Kiwi terror Manu Ma’u has been chasing an unpaid third party deal for months without success, which is no surprise given the Eels’ current predicament.

Last week his management lost patience and contacted the Roosters to gauge their interest in signing the 27-year-old second rower.

Although they’ve been in the market for engine room reinforcements, the Roosters were taken aback by the approach.

Ma’u is contracted until the end of next season on a rather modest deal that probably doesn’t reflect his current value.

It’s believed the outstanding third party deal is worth around $20,000. Despite these issues, we can’t see Parramatta granting Ma’u a release – particularly after all the work that’s been done to rehabilitate him from a stint in prison across the Tasman.

However, an upgraded deal is not unreasonable. That might have to wait until the club’s salary cap position and punishment is made clear within the next fortnight.

$20,000 here, $20,000 there... all the greedy players/player managers squalling about TPAs can bite me . They're all earning above the general average salary of the fans that watch them and keep them in a job.
