Cannot believe Jesse Bromwich isn't on that list. Then again with the The other 3 taking so much you can see why. By the way Gallen is on massive overs and don't try and tell me we can't afford Hayne when I see all those million dollar plus players in the Cows, Storm etc.

Melbourne and North Queensland have less players competing for third party contracts than players at Sydney clubs. Obviously AFL players dilute the money somewhat. I'm actually surprised the Broncos have so few highly paid players, though looking at their roster they are high on general quality but low on star power. Boyd is quality but no star, and Milford is a star but on his first ever big contract. He might be the game's highest paid player one day but at the moment he still lacks experience and polish.

I thought he was really good at fullback when he played there. Good pickup considering our FB and 5/8th is going.

But he wasnt the star. Coote was.

It was quite a crappy game.

JT had a crap game.

We knocked on and gave away penalties and did not look good in their 20,

Coote was the only star in the whole game

It was Coote being in right place, right time that frustrated our attack. Had he'd played like he did in our 1st game we probably win last night, but there were 3 occasions last night where he stopped try/dropout chance a turned it into opportunity for Cows.

Thurston still had more LBAs and TAs than our whole team put together. He obviously worked off the back of good go forward.

In round two we shut Thurston down and we did it by first stopping his forwards.

It's why he is best player in game ATM. When we were dominating, he had no answer. The second they got some roll-on, he chimed in and they scored. I'm hoping Norman & Foran rewatch the game for how he involved himself

Like I said before, after the Penrith game I think, and a fare few here bagged me. If we had a top 8 fullback we win last nights game and the Penrith one for that matter.

Possibly. Gordon is very safe but offers SFA in terms of attacking options which are needed in a fullback.

Gordon is a massive hand break in attack, he stifles the back line time and time again. Tough and safe as a bank but i said weeks ago we will not be a threat with him at the back against the top sides.

Yep, realistically he would be in the bottom 4 fullbacks in the comp. Zillman, Gagai and Mitchell being the others.

A mate if mine who's heavily involved at another club pinpointed Gordon as our Achilles heal at the start of the year, he said that the bloke just can't pass the ball on either side, I'm starting to think that maybe we should try a positional swap with Guth..

I was watching the game last night with mates and was crying every time he killed a backline play just thinking what we could of done to them with Hayne chiming in at the backline.

Probably worth trying Gutherson fullback in attack with Gordon fullback in defence, like what the Sharks did last year with him and Holmes.

Gutho dosnt exactly strike me as a player who could pass either. He is deadset unco.

He's played a lot of 1 as a junior so he is familiar there, another possible option is try taks there shift gutho at right enter and flash on the right wing..

It's a weird one but 1 that could work depending on his defence and communication at the back.

Is Taka agile enough to play fullback?

Gutho has a very good passing game. Was considered for five eight at Manly at one stage. Showed some great ball skills for the Sea Eagles and also for us a few times. He is a real option. Don't think Taka has the game to play fullback.
Gordon has been very good for us in a number of games. Last night was a poor night for a few of our players. Reload and get ready for the Dogs on Friday night.

I think the reason our attack has struggled most of the season has been the fullback and him not being able to perform a simple backline play. So many times he was high, low, late or doesn't even pass at all. I can see why Barba or Holmes attacked at fullback last year.
