When france was attacked facebook was flooded with posts and people changing photos with a french flag over their heads.
Not one post as of yet about Belgium. Have we become custom to such events so quickly ? - Was not enough people hurt ? Is France more favoured then Belgium?

I think it's partly people growing 'accustomed' to the unfortunate events. Also, people are generally more familiar with France, and the French flag is instantly recognisable. Bigger terrorist killings have happened in Turkey over the past month, and there's even less overt concern.
