You're right. He is taking a big risk. We have a habit of signing Rugby players without giving them game time in first grade. Tristan Reilly is just the latest example. If he's lucky, Alaimalo might be able to get a gig with an Australian Super Rugby for 2025.

absolutely a risk, but it’s 1 year on minimum wage. Union guys are more miss then hit, but remember Taniela Tuliaki was playing 3rd grade Sydney rugby in the forwards when Sheens somehow spotted him

Great signing if true. He's definitely not everyones cup of tea, but he knows what it takes to get the front office in order. He's currently running a social media management company for athletes with his son & also running the Brisbane Firehawks (I think). Hopefully it happens, as he's the exact type of CEO we need. Someone with a long background in football clubs & business experience, plus he wouldn't hesitate in telling the board to butt out of football clubs matters.

the guys youtube highlights from 2020/1 super rugby season are pretty insane. Certinly looks a talent, big, strong, fast with great footwork. Reminds of Israel Folau. Hes clearly got the physical attributes to be a gun NRL back, but how he goes with things like defensive reads, tough carries etc will be the big test.

But, you would expect they will want him cheap, so how much do you think would be a fair price to lose to get him out of here?
He may struggle to make the FG side this year?
He’s reportedly on $525k per yr for the next 2 years?

This guy is like Daniel Tupou and Joseph Suaalii wrapped into one. If he makes NRL next year I can just about guarantee Salad will hit his chest with some long balls and also put up some corner bombs for him to leap over the opposition to score.
I'm so excited about this.
A 1 year contract will quickly be extended after a few games I'm hoping.
