Turuva to the Tigers.

The Panthers winger is close to an announcement on his future and the Tigers have emerged as the likely option if he decides to leave Penrith at the end of the season.

Don’t really follow other teams, but he looks the goods
Api and Jerome doing a bit extra for the club.
Apparently what he lacks in height, he makes up with speed?

Turuva to the Tigers.

The Panthers winger is close to an announcement on his future and the Tigers have emerged as the likely option if he decides to leave Penrith at the end of the season.

The Tigers are reportedly in the box seat to land Panthers star Sunia Turuva after he looked destined to join the Dragons.

The Daily Telegraph is reporting the Tigers reportedly see Turuva as a centre and a stand-in fullback for young gun Jahream Bula.

The 21-year-old was being courted by the Dragons, with their contract reportedly worth between $400,000 to $600,000 per-season depending on a range of clauses in his deal.

However, the Tigers are now set to secure his services after the flyer’s management were unable to broker a deal for Turuva to remain at the Panthers.

The Panthers were reportedly unable to offer him more than $350,000 per-season due to salary cap constraints, forcing Turuva to look elsewhere.

The 2023 Dally M Rookie of the Year is now set to move clubs with current teammate Jarome Luai, joining former Panthers Api Koroisau, Brent Nade and Charlie Staines.

The Knights were also reportedly interested in Turuva’s services, having toured the club’s faciliries during the Panthers’ bye round.

But the Newcastle club reportedly never tabled a formal contract, meaning the Tigers were able to swoop in for his services.

Turuva has scored eight tries in six games so far this season, having become one of Penrith’s most reliable players in recent seasons.

Just a thought on this, we were supposedly paying Nofa $500k a season, is this guy better than him?

The chatter on Twitter is saying he has signed with us.
$1.3m over 3 years? $433k a year?
If true, we can keep a secret, I guess we’ll find out if it’s a good deal.

There’s a few players, who might now be playing for contracts for next year?
Hopefully they can put the pressure on the coaches to work out who’s staying and who’s going.

Congratulations guys he's a good one and will push Bula for the number 1 spot if given the chance
I don’t know much about Turuva, but I’m not giving up on Bula, he’s hasn’t played a full season yet. 24 games
TBH, imo, I’d like him to have a little more impact, but it could be the second year blues
I just had a quick look at his stats:
84% tackle efficiency
Ave 180mts a game
Not the complete package yet, by any means, but not to shabby either.
Anyway, the more quality we can get, can only be a good thing.

Bula looks super promising but go check Turuva's highlights at fullback in the world cup

Awesome, he's a great finisher. He and Olam will kick some butt.
