Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

Who else at wt has been parading around other clubs trying to get an extra $100k ? I can’t think of one player.
Yeah, it’s sickening, the whole concept of him, makes me want to throw up.

Just another lazy whore on the snout.

He can shove his 900k up his clacker and set fire to it.

And his wife can’t play footy either.

Richo wouldn’t stand for it, he read Stef the riot act and stomped on his face.

Shaun M and I are corresponding now. I’m going tell him Bula is dead to us fans. Get Benji to announce his fate.

Bodies in motion Tigers, get up in there and put him down.

$900k could pick up a SOO with change to pillage more young smug.

And we have to expect our fair share of injuries this season.

Almost certain to be MIA soon will be Api, Doogie, Bunty, and maybe poor Latu and we will need a wallet stuffed with the readies.

(Just watched Latu outrun the entire Roosters side-standing start, they weren’t gaining on him either…so good)

And Doogie in particular, one of the form players seeing out 25 -that’s going to really hurt.

So if Bula goes, we have plenty of good uses for the cash.

I like to think we are a democracy and there’s room for strong views on certain issues.

Bula needs to know that club comes first.

And Benjis been quiet, because he’s probably locked himself in his bedroom seething with contempt for being stood over.

And he’s got my full and unadulterated support.

This is the Wests Tigers, once in a blue moon we have to rally and put down dissent.

This is such an occasion.

We’ve got a lot of good players other clubs would die for. I’m sounding off for them too brother.

I dont like it either TSP, but apart from talking to other clubs, which he's allowed to do, what has he done that is so terrible. He's not a rapist.
Compare him to what Galvin did. Galvin got the media involved and spat in our faces, ratted on Benji and the team and sooked at every opportunity. He allowed Moses and his parents to publicly drag us through the mud.
Bula has done the opposite. He's showed that he loves the club and has tried to keep all the negotiations low queue.
It's the system that we should be throwing knives at because managers are allowed to do this whilst clubs are trying to concentrate on preseason training
They have to change the window before pre season training or not allow negotiations till after the season ends but players have families, kids at school etc.
I prefer to get it over and done with before say Feb1.
Hows Lomax's name? I'd be happy to throw knives at him if I was an Eels fan they he treated the slimeys and Saints.
Fa'asuamaleaui is doing the same by holding off at the GC.
Other clubs are experiencing the same issues mate.
The reason Keaon Koloamatangi sorted out his contract weeks ago was because he got a huge contract whilst he was getting on. However his name wasn't too well received at Souths just before he signed with Saints.
If Saints offered Bula 800k he'd be gonsky so the offers may not be set in contract because of Keaon Koloamatangi pay packet.
We're standing firm on $700k I think.
Would you turn your nose up to $100k. That alone is a years salary+ for a lot of people.

It’s hard to get through sometimes isn’t it! The only reason the club concocted that over generous deal for Bulla was a mix of incompetence but also it was during desperate times. Knowing this, he’s gone ahead and pushed the clubs face in it and asked for more. He was never that special and now he’s not special at all..hardly a nice guy or someone the club can feel good about having around the place. Being a good Christian tho, I’m sure he can push all that to the side, and do what god says is right.

My understanding was the club were stating that deal was too much but we want you here longer term. So the club is offering less but for a longer term contract.

We don't really know what is happening behind the scenes.

IM is his agent and he would have been shopping him around.

If he was asking for more I don't think the contract negotiations would be happening.

I think it's about that time we disconnect from Bula's contract dealings
Nothing we say is going to change the outcome so it's not worth losing brain cells over. Unless of course your someone who loves contention or are extremely agutated, if so, fill ya boots.
We have depth so if he leaves we may have to call on Jack Attard earlier 🤔
However, Bula still has this year to go so Jack should stay in reserve grade whilst training with the NRL and learning all the rime.

Well, I’ve made my views known and I stand by them.

Hell has finally frozen over and Benji and I agree.

That would be the first time since he was gifted the job on the long snouted mate.

WA is right, we were in full panic mode to sign any player who could lace on a boot. What a ridiculous contract.

But he’s still a dog for going out on the whore.

What if he signs long term ?

How do you know ? My take is the club really wants him to stay.

My objection is to his gamesmanship and trying to milk us for every last cent plus the delay and unsettling atmosphere and indirect disrespect for the club and players.

Benji wants him to sign asap for a realistic figure and so do I.

Bula is one Benjis success stories, so he’d be extremely pissed off with this ungracious brinksmanship.

How though ? He hasn't said anything and all we've heard from the club is that they want him to stay long term but not on that higher dollar contract.

Benji wants him to sign asap for a realistic figure and so do I.

I agree but this is what appears to be happening.

How do you think this situation compares to the Galvin, Stefano, Woods, Moses and Tedesco situations. Personally I don't see Bula acting at all like any of those guys. To me it's not even close.

Anyway let's wait and see what happens. I don't think there has been a huge amount of noise on this one.

If he signs awesome. It he doesn't I assume some other club is paying top dollar and that makes it risky for that club.

It wasn't that long ago that you were slamming Benji TSP 🤔 I'm unsure where you stand in all this apart from the decapitation of Bula.
However it's not the first time you've been right, gotta love ya passion .

TSP, what's your opinion with the Bula situ if he goes. Who plays fullback this year?

He’ll sign with us.
We hope so, but just on the sensible terms and as quickly as possible.

I’m only slamming Benji in his coaching role compared to alternatives, not personally as a human being.

And the club shares the blame because we keep going with him.

But i think when Benji makes a good decision or has kind ways, im ok to support that, because my overall of view of people is we are a mixed bag.

It’s very rare that someone is all good and all bad.

We’ve all made good and bad choices.

So that’s my angle.

But I think it’s fair that the Bula Camp be made to realise, that we are going places. It’s not perfect, but we have a pulse these days.

I know one thing, if Bula does sign with us at a reasonable price, Benji will be hailed by the journos and forumers alike to have grown some.
I can read the headlines now, "Benji finally comes of age as a coach"
for sticking to his guns.
On the other hand, even if Benji really wants him and is prepared to pay overs, it still has to be approved by the board.
If Bula does go, a similar headline will be had imo. Some journos like Braith say that what Moses is asking is way too much. Let it ride.
You gotta love/hate the silly season, it makes a long summer go quicker.

Latu even to have a crack after watching his highlights last night.

He burnt the entire Roosters side from virtually a standing start and they were losing ground on him.

He’s got a few things to work on and health issues, but that was X factor gone rogue. I’m still recovering lol.
