We can do a lot better re signings.Theres no need whatsoever to panic buy due to the fact we have more purchasing power than most clubs in a mkt saturated with players.

Hopefully my normally very reliable source is correct & we've signed Packer.

I agree. We don't want to blow our wad too quickly.

The outstanding way Eson Marsters went yesterday I'd say it wont be long before he has to be entered into FG,i seriously doubt that the players holding positions in our team that he plays could of delivered a similar performance with the exception of Suli, usually considered a backrower he also showed he can handle playing in the backline.

We have only done our wad in 1 player so far....Reynolds,but hes going to be worth it..
The other signings are good 1st graders at a cheaper price....

I want us to go after Hopoate if he will play sundays......he's impressing me lately.
I'm slipping behind with all these signings....

i would put him on the bench sometime this year.....can play centre or forwards....
Think IC will do some experimenting if we have no chance of finals footy in 2017

Pretty sure Reynolds was signed on 720k per year which is reasonable especially considering cap will increase and mitchell moses was poised to earn alot more than 720k

And the rumour is published today that we are chasing Corey Thompson. He'd be a good pick up. 26 year old winger who can cover fullback.

I agree with Ted, no need to shoot our load too early. Sounds like a few clubs have over invested in their rosters anticipating that the cap increase was going to be higher.

We may be able to land a few decent recruits with their previous club paying some of the fare.

I hear we may even pick up Mahe Fonua.

Packer and Lolohea close.
Packer is the one who I want us to get after watching him on Friday night, playing in a side that was getting dominated by the worlds best but still stood his ground and never gave up, ran hard all night. Lolohea looks like he could lose a couple of kg's but that might be from a lack of top flight football, the rest of this season and a full off season with us will hopefully get him into the right shape, especially if he is playing fullback.

I'm not sold on Lolohea in the spine, but if we pick him up, then that's exactly where he'll be.

Unless Nofo switches back there.

If we get him at a value price and the expectation is to come off the bench then I reckon he could be pretty handy.

If we are signing him to be a starting back rower with a lot of expectation on him then idk if it will be worth it

I think at 30 (he would be 31 by the start of next season) his best is well and truly past him. Plus with Matulino (28), McQueen (30), Lawrence (28) and Elijah (27) I hope we don't assemble an aging roster of forwards. I know we've got some good young ones too....but I'd like for at least one of our big signings (in the forwards) to be closer to 25 than 30.

Actually I think it's good

Whilst we have these aging forwards we also have quite a few young guys who can gain experience off them for when they retire

(Tatola, Felise, Twal, Marsters) etc in the forwards. Just need to make sure they're locked up
